Hello everyone.
Let me show you a quick limoncello recipe...
...a popular Italian lemon liqueur.
Zest a few lemons.
Heat some water while you zest the lemons.
Put the zests in pure alcohol...
...and immerge the jar in tepid water.
If too hot, add cold water.
Keep the whole thing warm covering it with a plaid.
Heat will increase its flavor.
See you later.
Prepare the syrup with sugar (250g/9oz) and water (600ml/20fl oz).
Boil.
Here is the infusion after 2 hours...
...but 1 hour would be enough.
Just make sure to keep the liquid warm (40-50蚓/105-120蚌).
Strain it.
Like this.

Here is the result.
The amount of sugar will depend on your personal taste.
You can dry the peels, store them in a closed jar...
...and use them to flavor cakes, dishes, tea etc.
