Citroen C3 Aircross. Moose test.
The reactions of the Citroën C3 Aircross have been satisfactory regarding overall safety.
The maximum entrance speed at which we completed the moose test successfully was 77 km/h.
It is a high speed, the same that we achieved with a KIA Stonic.
However, the electronic stability control (ESC) of the C3 Aircross worked more abruptly and as a result the movements of the car were less fluent.
The warning lights went on automatically every time that we performed the test.
When the entrance speed was of 78 km/h or higher, we knocked down at least one cone.
The car's reactions still were safe and controlable,
but at the same time they were not very predictable because the ESC did not apply the brakes gradually.
Having said that, the most important things here are that the car always felt under control
and that it was easy for the driver to make the car follow the desired path.
Slalom
On the slalom the body roll was moderate.
It is not an agile car but it managed to cope with changes of direction at a normal pace.
