Waching daily Mar 1 2018

And a good evening everyone time now for weather news today with J 7409 the name, you know

The news you can use

Well folks it's such an active weather pattern. That's going on

From the west to the east in the u.s.. Yes a very active weather pattern with

Nor' Easter

A Nor" Easter for the northeastern US and heavy snow for the western mountains

Heavy rain is going to be continuing across much of the south-central us through tonight from

Arkansas to the southern Appalachian with the greatest totals from eastern, Arkansas to western

Tennessee and northern Mississippi a high risk of

excessive rainfall is

Depicted for this region through early tomorrow

Morning now flash flood warnings will be a problem. They're going to be going up and

it's because of the combination of both the heavy rain and

All of the wet ground that we've had from the flooding and some of the flooding still isn't down

So please be aware of this in that area

Attention turns to the Northeast us for Thursday night

extending through Friday as a

major

nor Easter developed south of New England a

complicated storm evolution known as a Miller B

cyclogenesis is

Forecast to occur as a surface low over the Ohio Valley

Transfers its energy to a rapidly developing low near the mid-atlantic coast

Strong winds and coastal flooding. It's going to be the main hazards from this event with periods of heavy rain near the coast and

significant snow for the Interior

Northeast high wind watches are now in effect from the central Appalachians to the New Jersey coast

for expected wind gust

excess of 50 mile per hour at times

for the western US onshore flow ahead of the next Pacific storm system

coupled with strong cold air

Well, it's going to it still lift

And it's expected to result in widespread heavy snow from the Sierras

to the Cascades for local amounts in excess of two feet of possible

Winter storm warnings are in effect for these areas with snow levels below

2,000 feet elevation from Northern, California to Washington

State

Well the National Weather Service has issued some

flood watches already for

portions of New Jersey and Pennsylvania

Right up in here. We've got all of your counties you see on right here

Check them out for yourself

Okay

Now from late Thursday night through late Friday night rain is expected to develop

Thursday afternoon tomorrow and persist through all day Friday

Maybe into Friday night the heaviest rain is expected across the northern half of New Jersey in east central

Pennsylvania this includes parts of the

Delaware Basin in New Jersey so keep that in mind as the rain falls later Thursday and into Friday

Low-lying and poor drainage flooding is likely

Where the heaviest rain occurs in addition as a rainfall runs off into larger streams rivers?

Flooding will also be possible Friday night all the way through Saturday

There's so many watches and warnings up right now. I cannot go through all of them I

suggest that everybody listen to your local weather if you're in these flooding prone areas and

For watch coming up for the next few days right on through the weekend up north and New England

I'll try to keep abreast of it and put some more up in the morning this morning's forecast I

Had all the watches and warnings labeled out at it, and I also gave the alert for the New England

Boston area, so as we look at the map right now. Here's what it's looking like around 8:00 p.m.. On

Wednesday evening late

Okay, there you have it. I'm gonna blow this map up as it goes by but you can see the system

Over to the West that I was telling you about where the snow and the rain and all this was coming in it's going to

Come down in Northern, California and parts of Nevada, and I died in some of Montana

And then it is sweep on across over here

Some of you folks are going like I just said 50 I've seen some that's like 70 mile-per-hour gust

But some of you will have 50 mile-per-hour Spain. What sustained winds

so let's check it all out right quick and

This system is going to blow up

So unreal it is

Unbelievable, that's right. It's going to be a

Miller be

Cyclogenesis blow up and cause a major nor Easter, so let's move on to

9 o'clock tomorrow morning we can see the system start moving on a log

Will carry along to around 6:00 p.m.. Tomorrow afternoon

And by that time

Let's make the map bigger you can see the precipitation has moved up north further back down in North Carolina

around ah the

Piedmont in Raleigh area

Heavy thunderstorms are happening, but as we move up north we can see

The rain has started in West Virginia the whole states covered with a few extra

Showers got some more heavier rain bands in them, but the snow

Has started also if you're up around these areas

Right in here, okay?

I don't know if I can get any bigger. Let's see we don't want to get it to this or did

Give it a minute to settle down now will move across. Maybe hopefully

Here we go got you some more got you some more places okay

New London, Ohio, Mansfield, Ohio

Driftin you guys are getting

Probably a mixture of snow and rain, it's which no that's what a shame wet snot

That's what you guys are getting as we come over here

Wet snow it's all wet snow in this area at this time

Akron

You're getting rain

Cleveland you're getting rain

My friends up here in st Beulah you're getting rain comes on across as you can see

Pittsburgh Uniontown

This is when you guys are going to start getting some rain in this area

So we'll put the map down sighs one more time. What does the wind look at this time for 6:00 p.m.

tomorrow afternoon well not too bad on the coastlines

Nothing that we can't handle

Or nothing that people that living on the coastlines aren't used to

six o'clock tomorrow afternoon

Everything's kosher

But up in Canada

They're getting some pretty strong breezes, so we will go ahead and move up to around 3:00 a.m.. Friday morning

We can see this system starting to blow up at this time

Look here look here. This is the wind that's going on people

Outer Banks all the way down to North Carolina my neck of the woods

We got wind going on

27 and it's going to be anywhere, but I would say around our coastline

27 to 40 miles per hour at times okay, it this isn't the worst of it by any means

This is a like 4:00 a.m.. Friday morning. I wanted to stress this to you guys, but as you can see up in here

all along in here

Long Island

All these areas are beginning to pick up some wind okay

What about precipitation at this time? What's it looking like?

Well mostly rain on the coastlines everywhere. We still have that up

Snow and wet snow going on in Pennsylvania in parts of New York at this time

So let's move it on up to say oh, I don't know 1:00 p.m.. Tomorrow afternoon

You can see those rain bands or clustering around this is turning into a big

big but nor East or my friends

Heavier rain bands as you can see here. We need to check the wind

Look at that thing and it's still not the worst that it is we'll put the pressure on

Look how tightly these isobars are

at this time in the center, it's

28.7 8 millibars

Will move on to a round 6:00 p.m.. Tomorrow afternoon

We'll take this off so you can see better

There you go

you can see how it's moving around as the winds start to pick up everywhere now I

Want to make this bigger for you guys up here

So you can see what's going on?

We'll start down here

Around the coast line is still going on

Even as we get down to Virginia Beach still on my coastline and North Carolina look at that some of its going on

It's a little bit further offshore

when we get down south of North Carolina in

to, South Carolina

But right smack dab in the middle all the way up north still getting

At least 40 mile-per-hour winds at times and higher and gust

We come on up as you can see

the Maryland

New Jersey up here

and

Poor little province Providence right up in here this little island is going to get beat to death

It's going to get some very very very strong winds

Now it's going to vary from time to time. I've seen some that work. Well. It's blowing 48 steady right there

That's pretty good. Whip don't stink?

Pretty good whip all along the North

Long Island coast of New York

You're still not going to get it like poor little

Providence, okay

But you're going to have some pretty good winds going on coming off the coast of around 33 to 35 miles per hour

right steady

same thing goes for Boston as

We move on up

same thing goes right on off the coast of New Hampshire and

For the coast of Maine so

Let's move on up now. We'll go to around 11 p.m.

Tomorrow evening see this thing. It just won't stop people there you have it. Let me blow it down right quickly

One moment so you can get a better look at it

it just

Does not want to go away. It's going to be a slow mover

That's why you have to watch out for the flooding you have to watch out for the snow

Snows not going to be such a big deal cause this on the back out of it where the isobars aren't so tightly compacted

but the wind you've got to watch out for that wind you've got to watch out for the rain if

You are in it look at that look at the size of that thing would you alright?

We'll check out the precipitation around 11:00 p.m.. Tomorrow night

It still hasn't moved all the way off the case. We're still getting snow in New York and in parts of Massachusetts

and Connecticut

in

the West with wet snow to the north of

Massachusetts, and rain everywhere else in

Write on down you name it. That's what's happening rain in southern, New Jersey snow in northern, New Jersey

That's what's going on with it when will it ever get out of here when will it ever go away

We'll go to 6 a.m.. Saturday morning

It looks like it's off the coast still getting some rain here. What does the wind look like?

Yeah, it's still kicking up a breeze on the shorelines

shorelines of all of the coastal states

It's still hanging around

So we will go to 11 a.m.. Saturday morning it starts

It's going to be midday Saturday

This is going to be an event that lasts all day Friday all day Friday night

until at least midday Saturday

Before it gets out of here now the rain and the snow may stop

But the wind coming off of the coast will not stop

It's still pretty breezy if you want to know the truth about it at 4:00 p.m.. On Saturday

We'll check this out right quick as we come up here off the coast of

Massachusetts the winds still blowing 33 miles per hour steady

But it is moving away, and it should start to die on down by 9:00 p.m.. Tomorrow night

everybody is starting to get a little bit of relief and

My guess for you folks

Yes, it's going to get better today, but by Sunday. You should really see a difference

So that's going to wrap it up for the weather news

Edition evening for this day of February the 28th

2018

don't forget to subscribe and don't forget to click the bell so you get all of the weather forecasts and alerts I

Had someone write me a comment. They're

Subscribed, but when they go to click the bell, there's like a strikethrough the bell, and it won't let them get it

I don't have any strikes on my channel

I don't know what that is

But I have noticed that I get all these subscribers and then boom they're all gone the next day

What's going on with that so I would like for everybody who subscribed to me to see if you are still

subscribed to me and

make sure your bells click because

YouTube has been known to take subscribers away, and you don't know it's

Please do that for me ok with all they said stay safe my friends. I love you peace loving kindness to all

SNS#1 Animal-Human hybrid/Antimatter transport│Science News Summary - Duration: 4:39.

Norway's „Doomsday" seed vault is getting a $13 million upgrade

Scientists announce new animal-human hybrid experiment

CERN researchers will transport antimatter to study neutron stars

Japanese company is planning to build the world's tallest wooden skyscraper

Hi guys, my name is michael, and in this series i will cover science news from previous week.

So if you like science that is not too complicated, this might be series for you.

Let's get started.

The Global Seed Vault, a secure seed bank on the Norwegian island in the Arctic Ocean,

is about to get some upgrades.

The Vault has been keeping seeds samples from every part of the world since 2008 – just

in case.

This „doomsday vault" serves as a huge cold-storage unit for more than 850 000 seed

samples, which are kept at about minus eighteen celsius (-18°C (-3°F).

It serves as a backup for the other 1,750 seed banks all over the planet.

Soon, it will be getting much-needed uprages worth almost 13milion dollars.

Some time late in 2016, the seed vault was damaged by an unexpected permafrost thaw,

which caused flooding into the vault's tunnel entrance.

The goverment stated, that „The project includes the construcion of a new, concerete-built

access tunnel, service building to house emergency power and other electrical equipment that

emits heat trought tunel" It's been a decade, since the vault has been constructed,

so it's really due for some upgrades.

A team of researchers from Stanford University announced on Saturday, that they have created

the second successful human-animal hybrids: sheep embryos that are 0,01 percent human

by cell count.

These embryos, which were not allowed to develop past 28 days of age, move researchers a small

step closer to perhaps growing human organs for medical transplant.

The Stanford team chose sheep because the animal's organs are roughly same size as

a human's.

Therfore, in vitro fertilization would be easier with sheep than pigs.

As research around creating hybrids and chimeras continues, we can expect to see more people

speak up both for and against the work.

However, having multiple ways to supply organs to those who need them would be a truly life-saving

feat.

Researchers at CERN have gotten comfortable with antimatter – so comfortable, in fact,

they're planning to load a bilion antimatter particles into a van and trasport them from

one lab to another.

Antimatter is tricky to store and study, thanks to the fact that it will vanish in a burst

of energy if it touches regular matter.

But there's nothing to worry about, the energy released by the sudden annihilation

of a bilion antiprotons would correspond to the necessary energy to lift an apple by 20

centimetres.

Scientists are designing a new trap that locks antiprotoins in a „bottle" keeping the

atoms suspended in the center with powerful magnetic and electric fields.

The trap will then be loaded onto a van and driven to the site of a nearby project know

as ISOLDE, which plans to use the antimatter to experiment with rare radioactive isotopes

and eventually understand neutron stars.

But this won't be getting on the road anytime soon, The team says development andtesting

will take about four years.

Japanese firm Sumitomo Forestry unveiled its designs for what would be the tallest wooden

building in the world – a 350 meter skyscraper, called the W350 Project.

The building would be made of 90 percent cross-laminated timber, a material made of many sheets of

wood glued and compressed together and 10 percent steel.

The final result is a plank that's more robust than steel.

By switching to wood, we could reduce the emissions from the construction industry by

up to 31 percent.

And because wood is lighter and easier to transport than steel, it requires fewer fossil

fuels to transport it, further reducing emissions.

While the W350 Project is expected to cost twice as much as an ordinary building

Sumitomo is confident that technological advances between now and 2041,

when the building is expected to be complete, will drastically reduce its costs.
