Save us Elon Musk!
What do awesome people do on youtube?
They watch Adina Films.
You know you're desperate when you're looking for video ideas on pinterest.
Today I'm going to talk about things I wish I knew before high school in order to have an easier life.
And since two years have passed since I've graduated, I can talk with no regrets about this.
The first thing I wish I knew is to NOT try to meet anyone's expectations.
I think this is the thing that could cause you the greatest disappointments and suffering,
To try to please everyone, except yourself.
And I've realized that later, after I graduated.
But that was for the best, cause sometimes if we don't experience some things, we never learn.
Two.. what I wish I knew is to chose early your friends and to chose them wisely.
At first when you don't know anyone and you're naive af,
You have the tendency to give everyone the benefit of the doubt.
Or at least, this is what I've done.
And If you get close to some shady people, others will put a tag on you and you end up in the wrong entourage.
Don't be afraid of what people say and get close to the people from where you'll learn something.
Three... God... three, which was supposed to be one, but it's three and it's still good,
Don't be too self-conscious.
This is a problem that you create by your own hand.
Why live a peaceful life?
When I can make it miserable?
With some stupid preconceptions about myself.
If I would've succeeded then not to be that self-conscious about things that were all in my head,
I would've saved a lot of useless suffering.
So this is what I advise you to do.
Four, start the self development process early.
And yes, I mean reading, experimenting, getting out of the comfort zone and so on...
I think I would've been even further with a mindset more oriented towards success if I would've started earlier.
But I don't regret where I'm now, cause I represent a better version of myself.
Five... Stop caring about the fucking grades.
If you pass your baccalaureate, no one is gonna ask you what grades do you have.
Don't get me wrong, I was happy when I got an A at physics or something like that,
but I felt like those grades were more to keep my parents happy, not myself.
And we get back to the first point. Don't try to meet anyone's expectations, but yours.
Do you think that having straight A's in high school is something to brag about?
or if you were the chemistry teacher's favorite or something like that...
Who cares?
No one.
Six. Don't put pressure on yourself and don't take yourself too seriously.
You're young, no one putting a knife on your throat if you still haven't decided what to do with your life.
Don't panic and don't throw obstacles in your own way.
You have time... You have time to think and rethink until you reach college... pfff..
And even after college,
Do you live under the impression that everyone who has an engineering diploma is going to work as an engineer
all their life?
Not really
If you stay flexible in your thinking, you'll see that life is going to put you in every kind of situations.
And I talk as If I was 80 years old, but this is the truth.
You don't have to be prepared for EVERYTHING.
And the last thing, cause I talked too much already,
Seven, LOVE YOURSELF.
I don't what to explain myself here cause I think you got it.
I must confess that I'm pretty proud of this video idea and if you liked it as much as I did, don't forget to share.
