Julie Desk Production presents
"Hey, What's Up?"
Hello
Hello
So what's up?
I just started testing this service
called Julie Desk.
What's Julie Desk?
To put it simply,
its a virtual assistant
based on Artificial Intelligence
that helps me organize meetings.
A virtual assistant,
I imagine that's something like
Siri?
It's all a question of responsibility.
[Panther]
When you use Julie Desk
you delegate a task
from A to Z.
You're delegating a real responsibility.
Whereas when you use Siri,
you're using a vocal command system.
You dictate a command
and Siri executes the task.
Take a car for example.
Having Siri
is like having a car
with a voice command system:
You tell it to turn left,
it turns left,
you tell it to turn right,
it turns right.
But in the end,
you're still the one driving the car,
with minimal changes.
With Julie Desk,
it's more like having a self-driving car,
you tell it to go from point A to B
and the car decides
how to take you there.
You're not driving anymore.
It's this level of responsibility
that separates Julie Desk
from a system like Siri.
Hey what are you guys talking about?
We're talking about Julie Desk,
Margot's virtual assistant.
Oh you have a robot ?
Because I saw that Pepper robot the other day
and it was so cool.
No, it's not a robot at all.
It's an email address
that I copy on all of my emails
to organize my meetings.
Ok so do you have to send emails in robot language to your clients?
No
actually I write emails in the usual way.
I can write in English or in French.
It uses Natural Language Processing.
Natural Language Processing?
It is a kind of Artificial Intelligence
targeted toward modeling natural human language.
It encapsulates all techniques
that allow a computer to understand
and analyze language.
Thanks to these algorithms,
Julie will be able to extract information
from the emails that she receives,
analyze them
and send an adequate response.
Does that make sense?
OK
So you can send an email to clients
asking them to set up a meeting
without using any particular keywords?
That's it...
That's great!
I tend to go to my clients' offices often.
I don't see how Julie Desk
could know if I have a meeting at my clients' offices
or at my own.
It's simple.
When you sign up for Julie Desk,
you can set preferences
so that Julie can know the times you'd be available for meetings
as well as your prefered meeting places
and prefered mode of transport.
So that Julie can organize a meeting
in the same way you would yourself,
we ask that you share your meeting preferences,
their duration,
your contact information
etc.
For example,
I never take meetings on Monday mornings,
and they take place at my offices by default.
In general,
when you delegate meeting organization
to Julie,
it's like delegating a task to a third party:
the more precise you are in your request,
the better she'll be able to organize meetings
in the way that you'd imagined.
Julie can't read your mind!
But you're not afraid
that it'll mess up your agenda
and your meetings?
I've tested a few chatbots
and generally they aren't very reliable.
It's not a chatbot
like the kind you have on Messenger.
Those are under human supervision
to guarantee quality of service.
Human supervision?
Where's the artificial intelligence in that?
We have a team of human supervisors
that pay attention to note and correct
all actions performed by our algorithms
The goal is to organize meetings for our users,
so it doesn't end up sending messages such as
" Oops, I don't understand, please rephrase your question,"
especially when professional relationships are involved.
Our team of supervisors
take over when necessary.
If a human can understand it,
Julie can too.
The beauty of this process
is that it allows us to continually improve.
Supervisors note correct actions and errors,
and serve as real teachers for the program.
Julie can also gain more and more autonomy
as our algorithms improve based on user experience.
It's called supervised machine learning.
Got it?
Ah ok !
Personally,
the idea that my emails could be read
by people I don't know,
bothers me,
it's a bit touchy security wise.
I wouldn't worry,
I've read their terms and conditions
and it's actually very secure!
No need to worry.
We have very strict confidentiality policies.
The ensemble of data used to plan meetings:
including emails you send to the service
and data from your agenda,
are accessible on our local servers
and dedicated infrastructure.
We don't have any access to your emails,
whether they are professional or personal,
or your contacts.
It is important to note
that the entirety of the data we stock
is stocked in an encrypted format.
We house the data in France.
Our infrastructure and procedures
respect GDPR principles
and very soon that of the ISO 27001 standard.
In any case I keep a close eye on things!
Check and Mate!
How do I sign up ?
Hold on, I can sponsor you.
With the sponsorship program at Julie Desk,
it's Christmas every day of the year!
The more you recommend Julie,
the more you receive gifts!
For example,
this sticker
you can put on your computer,
Julie Desk chocolates
that you can taste as you like…
hmm delicious!
This mug
to take to the office
to drink your coffee,
this Julie Desk t-shirt
or even this sweatshirt
so you can wear all the Julie Desk colors proudly!
Want these gifts?
All you have to do is talk about Julie
to your friends,
and no excuses!
You now have all the information you need to do so!
As for us,
all that's left to do is wish you a
HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!
