Arsenal take on Watford on Saturday looking to make it seven successive wins in all competitions.

Four Premier League wins on the trot has seen Unai Emery's side move up to sixth in the table, just one point outside the top four.

Victory on Saturday will ensure Arsenal move about Watford and will finish the weekend in fifth position at the very least, they will be fourth if Spurs fail to win at Huddersfield.

And Emery has been boosted ahead of this weekend by the news that Sokratis has recovered from the dead leg that forced him off before half-time of last Sunday's win against Everton.

The Greek defender took full part in training on Thursday and is expected to partner Shkodran Mustafi in the heart of defence on Saturday.

Sead Kolasinac is also set to return to the Premier League squad for the first time this season having recovered from the knee injury he suffered in pre-season

The Bosnian defender was an unused substitute against Brentford in the Carabao Cup and is expected to be on the bench again this weekend.

Aaron Ramsey is set to start, despite the breakdown in contract talks with the club, while Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang will come back into the side having been given the night off against Brentford in midweek.

Carl Jenkinson is back full training after his ankle injury but is not expected to make the squad

Meanwhile, Laurent Koscielny and Ainsley Maitland-Niles are continuing their recovery and are closing in on a return to action

Maitland-Niles is due back from his fractured fibula in early October while Koscielny is still scheduled to return to full training in early November from the ruptured Achilles he suffered in May

Breaking News - Ryder Cup hero Poulter drafted in to play with McIlroy in foursomes - Duration: 2:17.

Team Europe captain Thomas Bjorn has selected Ian Poulter to play alongside Rory McIlroy in Friday afternoon's fourballs event with Team US leading the way at Le Golf National

Henrik Stenson, Sergio Garcia and Alex Noren also come in for the Europeans, while Tommy Fleetwood and Francesco Molinari are the only pair to remain the same from the morning matches for Europe

Jim Furyk has brought in Phil Mickelson for the afternoon and he will play alongside Bryson DeChambeau, while Tiger Woods and Patrick Reed sit out

Stenson will join up with world No 2 Justin Rose, replacing Jon Rahm. The pair will kick things off at 12:50 against world No 1 Dustin Johnson, who sticks with Rickie Fowler after a successful morning

Bjorn will be hoping that Poulter can raise McIlroy's game after a disappointing morning in which he failed to card a single birdie

The duo will up be against Bubba Watson and Webb Simpson in the second match of the afternoon

Garcia and Noren team up for their first match of the weekend and face Mickelson and DeChambeau, both of whom also sat out the fourballs

The final match sees Molinari and Fleetwood stick together after they got Europe's only point of the morning and they will face Justin Thomas and Jordan Spieth who beat Paul Casey and Tyrell Hatton by one point in the fourballs

The foursomes format differs from fourballs in that each team will use only one ball as they take alternate shots on their way around the course

The team with the lowest score on a hole will get a point, if both teams finish the hole in the same number of strokes it is halved

Team US lead Team Europe by 3-1 going into the afternoon's matches

Virgil van Dijk is facing a race to be fit for Liverpool's showdown with Chelsea but Jurgen Klopp insists his team will cope if his key defender misses out

The Holland international was forced off after 54 minutes of last weekend's 3-0 win against his old club Southampton with damaged ribs, an injury that has prevented him from training with the first team all week

Liverpool have one more session to go before they travel to London and it is likely that Van Dijk will be included in the travelling party but Klopp is adamant that he has enough in reserve to compensate if the £75million man doesn't come through

The German admitted in his press conference on Friday that he has total faith in Liverpool's other defenders to fill the void

'Virgil is a world class player, there's no doubt about that,' said Klopp, who has reported Trent Alexander-Arnold to be fit after overcoming some minor illness

'If you miss a world class player, it's always not cool. 'But Dejan Lovren played his first game after around about 10 weeks out

Most of that time he was that injured that he couldn't even think about training

It was a part of the body where you can't do fitness, nothing. After that long period out, he played an outstanding game

'Joel Matip – a long time injured – but now two games in a row played fantastic

Both full-backs (Nathaniel Clyne and Alberto Moreno on Wednesday night) hadn't played so far this season

We will see what it will be tomorrow.' Klopp, meanwhile, stressed he had not fallen out with Xherdan Shaqiri in the aftermath of Liverpool's 2-1 defeat to Chelsea in the Carabao Cup

Liverpool's manager was pictured on the pitch remonstrating with Shaqiri at the final whistle but he explained the situation

'German newspapers said that I had an argument with Shaqiri on the pitch – I didn't,' said Klopp

'To make it clear, I didn't. He was the first one who was involved who I met, and it was after the free-kick that we had where I wanted to do it differently

It was only about that.' Shaqiri has started the last two games but was substituted after 45 minutes against Southampton, even though he had been heavily involved in two of Liverpool's goals

Klopp maintains he is more than happy with what the Switzerland international has done so far

'Very good; very, very good,' Klopp replied when asked about Shaqiri's contribution

'When he came in that's what I wanted from him, that he plays only free. That he doesn't think about anything, just plays football

I don't want to bother him and fill him up with information about the way we play, the way we defend, the way he has to run

I wanted to see how he adapts and you could see in pre-season, it was brilliant. 'But of course, for the long term you need to get used to all these things more and more, and he's made big steps in that

But when you use this information then you lose a bit from the natural skills for a few days, weeks, whatever, because you're thinking more on the pitch

'That's where he is at the moment, but I'm completely happy. He's had a fantastic impact, good player and good boy

' Liverpool fell to defeat in their first meeting with Sarri's side earlier this week after Eden Hazard completed a comeback at Anfield with a sensational individual goal

Klopp admitted his side should have done better to deny the Belgian star but, ahead of their second meeting in four days, insisted 'everybody is defendable'

'We all know we could have defended that goal he scored,' added the German. 'We had three challenges but nobody had him really

None of them made a 100 per cent challenge and if we made just one then he wouldn't have done what he did

'He used that situation and we never want to do that. I thought it was still not possible to score a goal from there but he did with a perfect finish

I can respect that but everybody is defendable. It's good but yes we have to make sure we close the right spaces and then try to win the challenge
