Let's try the Avatar grenade
I must say we've been all the morning stressing the grenade
We didn't even clean it
Hello everyone. I'm Wiset. This is Capsule Airsoft
We'll talk about the new product that RWA has sent to us
The Avatar Grenade
It is an impact grenade, you can use it in 2 ways
With gas and BBs, or only with gas The French company Avatar define this as the first modular Airsft grenade
versatile and easy to use
The product has 2 main parts
The inside has the core
Where the gas is housed, it also has a safety And the we have the external skin
it protects the core, BBs housing and giving the grenade different looks
So, we have a grenade that detonates on solid surfaces
it works with Green Gas
you can use it with Airsoft BBs
it detonates releasing gas and BBs
and it doesn't make much noise
And that is the main problem of this grenade. It is not noisy
I am throwing it several times for the video
and I am worried to break it
Here you can see... how many times did you use it before?
Maybe 20 times. -And now we are abussing of it in prupose
This part is a bit broken
But it will keep working, onlu the skin is being damaged
This is the grenade itself, then we have different skin models
If you break the skin, you can buy a new one
The grenade specs are
9x6 cm, aprox. 320 g, the default skin has 80 BBs capacity
The designers tells the BBs are released at 150fps
Inside we find the core, a default skin, an O-rings set
the user manual and a dog tag, used for adjusting the core
Here we have all we need for making this grenade work
BBs, speedloader, and gas
Remember this is the grenade engine
we don't need to remove the core while using the grenade
We wil just adjust it to the skin
The first we must do to load the grenade is
The bottom of the engine must be on the bottom of the cilinder
Here you can see it is touching the bottom
and now you can't see it, we must move it to the bottom
Done
We put the safety on, here you can see "armed" and safe"
This grenade doesn't have any ring, just turn this piece
In this case, we load the gas
1, 2, 3, 4
Let it rest few seconds a bit and continue
Now it will already loaded with gas, if we want we can add BBs
You load the BBs in the same place they are released?
Yes. This grenade throw the BBs by releasing the gas
See? you loose some BBs, but it has a rubber here that keeps the BBs inside
See? This rubber holds the BBs inside
And now we load the lower part
You can also load BBs on the lower part
We have the grenade loaded, we only need to change the safety turning it counter-clockwise
And now the inner mechanism is free
And once it hits the floor it will release BBs and gas
Now we'll test it with gas but without BBs
It didn't detonate? Why it happened? -Did I remove the safety?
Ok no. -Ok, it's good to know the safety works
Let's throw it strongly, an stress test with safety on
It works, I throw it too hard
Now safety off
The impact does more noise than the gas detonation
to me is way to big, cause in a 40mm grenade pouch, you can fit a regular grenade
but this..... noway, you´ll probably need a m4 magazine pouch

we´ve seen before some grenades doesnt detonate
Ok, it does detonate, the sound is not enough though
the sound comes from the gas, and the bbs has been shot out
but, the grenade didnt spin
might be some bbs still inside?

In RWA videos, i think is Tim or im not sure who is
is loading the grenade, and i think they feed 12 seconds of green gas
to me is maybe too much, in Avatar´s youtube channel the feed 4 or 5 secs
no wait, is not in the official one, is other YT channel
with 4 seconds the sound is ridiculous

How many loads have a 600ml bottle?

Rhoads: for now we loaded 14 times

We gonna test it in this room, you can hear the eco with my voice
Look i think the hit was louder than the detonation
Is the safety off?

Rhoads it detonated in your hand when you turn off the safety? Wiset: yeah dude
Rhoads: it happened twice
Do you know why? How many times did you play with a grenade wich has safety?
Wiset: None Rhoads: you just need to understand how it works and be mindful
maybe if you sake it before it can detonate?
Turn off the safety and shake it
Try the same with bbs
ok nobody wuld shake it like this
so it wont detonate if doesnt take a hit
droped from the hips, did a hole in the dirt
gas worked with almost no sound, bbs worked. My conclusion; it should be used indoor.
Redwolf gave us two os this grenades so we can torture this one.
as you can see is broken here
in this case you can buy other "skinz" but the question is, whats the prize?

We did this torture test, the cylinder went off the body. Cause the body broked
this part here is broken, and this parte here is open now

now you could think "the guys from capsule are assholes who broked the grenade"
Yes, but it was in purpose
we have 2, one we will keep
and use the second one to try how far we could take it
In this secenario, the grenade did hit a hard floor, the cylinder is ok
hummm it has this plastic piece inside
this part here is from de body
but the cylinder is ok
what is broken is the outer body
so in this case you´ll had to buy a new body
maybe you can buy it from red wolf.... is this one?, no this is the ball
look this is what we wer seraching for, it says the price
47 USD
close to 40€
Rhoads: guys this is expensive
not bad for a bb grenade, but is expensive

this pimped grenade is the one we broke it
About the product, the cons are; it doesnt sound loud enough
for instance in this game people didnt call the hit, cause the couldn hear the sound of the grenade
And the size, with the original Skinz is too big
you need a bigger pouch to fit
but if we talk about the pokeball, you´ll need a backpack
The orb sphere body, is covered with rubber, is not that hard
throw it by the ground... is not my style, i prefer to use it for bowling
When you but the orb body
i mean the pockeball
you have inside thefold with new models coming soon
here we have the core you can combine with the body
this one is the original
and this one is the orb
but you have all this models
this one is the one i like the most
or this other one in black
everyone can load bbs?
i think not all, this one can, but for example this one cant
this one probably is just for sound
hahah it looks great

i must say the disassembly is really intuitive
The core is simple and nice
yeah this parte detonate when moves

the difference is one is hard and the other is soft
is what i didnt liked, i thought the body could be 10-15€. But no, is expensive.
as you can see is not only the plastic, here it has aluminum or similar
it has the holes for bbs... it has the rubber bands...
this is more complex
We are used to see expensive grenades
but the body.... i think is expensive
is not noisy enough, i coulndt say it a sound grenade....
maybe with other body the sound could be louder, i dont know
what i see is expensive, and if you compare it with other grenades
that can work the same, and are not that expensive...
Yeah, i can say, the Avatar to us is Expensive
if it hits with the rubber.... doesnt detonates
look how it bounces
we want to try it, but this time we wont throw it form a 2º floor

Ah ok, then is perfect

hum... yeah when the cylinder hits something hard it works
we probably tryed 15 times today
Its fair to say the grenade with this body is resistant
now is full of dirt
do you play in a clean airsoft arena?
hum i can clean it...
in my opinion, for this price, i´ll choose other options like the burst or cyclone
you could think, ok new grenade, one more
and sentences will fly around like, "if i dont play cqb i will lose it in the woods"
why expend money if people doesnt call the hit
is too expensive
i can hear this sentences from players who try the grenades we have
if you said any of the previouse sentences. Yes, you are right.
but if we only had one grenade model on the market
we wuldnt have any investigation and development
So as always used to say, get more information, seach for other opinions
