BREAKING Mueller Gets Bad News, He Deserves This

Special counsel Robert Mueller is preparing for war against Donald Trump and his associates.

Former campaign chairman Paul Manafort is facing a July trial in Virginia and September

proceedings in Washington, D.C.

But Mueller is panicking over the one thing that could destroy his case.

Mueller has been aided in his quest to destroy Trump with fawning media coverage that elevates

every development in his investigation into "THE ONE BOMBSHELL" that could destroy

the Donald Trump presidency.

In an ironic twist, Mueller is now worried the deluge of coverage of his investigation

will ruin his chances of winning a conviction against Manafort.

The special counsel's office filed a motion that raised their concerns that the wall-to-wall

media coverage will lead to a biased jury.

Mueller's team wrote:

Where there has been significant media attention to a prosecution, courts often employ jury

selection procedures to help identify prejudice that may exist.

Both the Special Counsel's investigation and this case in particular have received

significant public attention.

Potential jurors may have biases or pre-formed opinions as a result of exposure of the widespread

media attention.

In light of these circumstances, the government submits that a jury questionnaire in addition

to standard voir dire procedures will assist the Court in assuring that this case is tried

before an impartial jury.

The amount of coverage the investigation has received is staggering.

Mueller's office revealed the intensity of the coverage, writing:

A Westlaw search of major newspapers for the terms "Manafort" near "trial" or "investigation"

yielded over 3,500 results.

Similarly, the same search of transcripts of television and radio broadcasts returned

over 1,300 hits, including in major news outlets, such as all major television networks and

newspapers, but exclusive of social media like Twitter feeds.

Interestingly, Mueller cited inaccurate reporting as one factor that could taint the jury poll.

The special counsel's office argued:

The reporting, at times inaccurately, comments on the nature of the evidence collected in

the case or activities of the parties.

Mueller citing fake news reports about the investigation has raised eyebrows.

The vast majority of the coverage surrounding the Mueller probe has been overwhelmingly

anti-Trump.

And reporters have only hinted about what Mueller may have on possible connections between

Trump's team and Russian intelligence officials.

Mueller arguing that inaccurate reporting would taint the jury led many to believe that

Mueller knew all the breathless coverage surrounding supposed bombshells in the Russia investigation

was fake news.

After all, no American has been charged with conspiring with the Russians.

Paul Manafort is on trial for financial crimes that predate his work with Donald Trump by

a decade.

And Mueller and Manafort's legal team have both made motions not to mention any of Manafort's

work with Trump during his trial.

Journalists have placed Manafort at the top of the list of Trump campaign associates who

colluded with the Russians.

But Manafort wasn't charged with any election related crimes, and even Mueller's team

won't bring up his campaign work as part of their prosecution.

We will keep you up to date with any new developments

in this story.
