BREAKING NEWS Out Of California…

BEWARE If You Are WHITE It seems like the only lasting legacy we're

going to have from the Obama administration is the deep racial division that is ripping

our nation apart, a plan devised by leftists to help set themselves up as saviors of the

minority so they can get more and more of these demographics to the polls come election

time.If you truly do a study of history, you'll discover rather quickly why it's so ironic

for minorities to be so attached to the Democratic Party and the left-wing movement in general,

given their deep rooted history of racism and fondness for Nazism.

If you haven't read Liberal Fascism by Jonah Goldberg or The Big Lie by Dinesh D'Souza,

you need to do so as soon as possible.

It breaks this all down.Anyway, a couple of nutjob professors from California have provided

yet another example of the racial strife ushered in by the previous eight years of progressivism.

Fox News is reporting:Two California professors are criticizing farmers' markets for causing

"environmental gentrification" in which "habits of white people are normalized."

San Diego State University geography professors Pascale Joassart-Marcelli and Fernando J.

Bosco contend that farmers' markets are "white spaces" oppressing minorities in

a chapter for "Just Green Enough," an environmental anthology focused on urban development.

Environmental gentrification is defined as a process where "environmental improvements

lead to … the displacement of long-term residents," according to the anthology.

The professors, as reported by Campus Reform, say farmers' markets are "exclusionary"

because locals cannot "afford the food and/or feel excluded from these new spaces."

The SDSU professors, who teach classes like "Geography of Food" and "Food Justice,"

argue that "farmers' markets are often white spaces where the food consumption habits

of white people are normalized."

While such markets are typically set up to help combat "food deserts" in low-income

and minority communities, the academics argue that they instead "attract households from

higher socio-economic backgrounds, raising property values and displacing low-income

residents and people of color."

And all of that is still just quoting from the mild insanity this pair spewed forth into

the atmosphere with this "report."

Believe it or not, it actually gets nuttier.

If you listen too long to the radical left, you end up walking away from a conversation

believing all white folk are bad and are responsible for all the evil going down across the globe,

as if racism is strictly a white man problem.

Newsflash.

Racism is an issue with all of humanity.

Every race and ethnicity battles with hating someone else because of their skin color.

It's an unfortunate part of human nature.

Solutions to the problem of racism must absolutely target it across the board, otherwise such

a solution is just another part of the problem.

Contrary to what these two wackadoos suggest, not everything on planet earth is racist or

intolerant or whatever liberal buzzword you want to throw out there.

Most of the rhetoric being tossed around by the media is simply there to keep us at each

other's throats and to serve the agenda of liberals in the Democratic Party.

Let's stop drinking the Kool-Aid.

NHL NEWS - Rumor Roundup: Market for Mrazek, continued speculation about Senators - Duration: 8:44.

Rumor Roundup: Market for Mrazek, continued speculation about Senators

Petr Mrazeks continued struggles have led the Red Wings to consider retaining salary in order to move him, while the Senators and Flyers examine their options.

A weak trade market for goaltenders put the spotlight upon Detroit Red Wings Petr Mrazek.

Last Thursday, The Athletics Craig Custance cited an NHL source claiming several teams made inquiries about the 25-year-old backup.

Once believed the Wings goalie of the future, Mrazeks performance deteriorated over the past two seasons.

Following Tuesday's contest against the New York Islanders, hes won three of his 11 games played, with a bloated 3.64 goals-against average and a woeful save percentage of .892.

A restricted free agent next summer, Mrazek carries a $4-million cap hit this season.

However, TSNs Bob McKenzie reports the Wings could consider absorbing part of it to facilitate a trade.

Despite those factors, Custance suggests the Red Wings consider showcasing Mrazek to bolster his trade value.

He admits, however, that could put their slim playoff hopes in jeopardy.

With 33 points, theyre six points out of a wild-card berth and six behind the Boston Bruins for third place (and an automatic playoff spot) in the Atlantic Division.

Custance believes Mrazek could fetch a third-round pick, but NBC Sports James OBrien suggests the Wings might get a second rounder if they pick up part of his cap hit.

He lists the Pittsburgh Penguins, Arizona Coyotes, Minnesota Wild, Colorado Avalanche, Philadelphia Flyers and Edmonton Oilers as possible suitors.

The Penguins addressed their goaltending situation by acquiring veteran Michael Leighton to help backup Matt Murray.

Now, their priority is finding a skilled two-way third-line center.

Arizona backup Scott Wedgewood has better stats (2.98 GAA, .909 SP) than Mrazek so its unlikely Coyotes management will pursue him.

Sportsnets Elliotte Friedman reported Friday the Oilers watched a couple of Mrazeks recent games but werent pleased with his play.

The Avs 3.

27 goals-against per game is among the leagues worst, but its doubtful theyll see Mrazek as an improvement over their tandem of Semyon Varlamov and Jonathan Bernier.

The Flyers are getting solid goaltending of late from starter Brian Elliott while regular backup Michal Neuvirth should soon return from a leg injury.

Wild starter Devan Dubnyk is currently week-to-week with a lower-body injury.

OBrien wonders if theyll add some depth behind backup Alex Stalock, though for now theyre using call-up Steve Michalek.

If Dubnyks sidelined longer than expected and Stalock starts to struggle, perhaps Mrazek might become a tempting target.

SENATORS REMAIN CONSTANT IN TRADE TALK.

Despite the NHL holiday trade freeze going into effect at midnight on Dec.

19, the Ottawa Senators continue to dominate the rumor mill.

While much of the focus is on the future of superstar Erik Karlsson, winger Mike Hoffman is garnering his fair share of attention.

If the Senators decide to shed some salary, Sportsnets Nick Kypreos suggests moving Hoffman could be the easiest route.

The 28-year-old winger carries a $5.18-million annual cap hit through 2019-20.

Hes also got a 10-team no-trade list that he submits at the start of each season.

Kypreos said it was suggested the Senators and Edmonton Oilers may have had discussions about Hoffman.

However, he believes the Oilers might prefer a deal built around draft picks and prospects so as not to upset the current roster as they attempt to climb back into the playoff race.

While Hoffman has a reputation as a streaky scorer, hes exceeded 25 goals and 45 points in each of the past three seasons.

With nine goals and 24 points in 32 games, hes on pace to reach those numbers again.

Hoffmans cap hit and no-trade list, as well as the Sens asking price, could limit potential destinations.

Still, he could prove enticing for Western clubs in need of scoring depth, such as the Anaheim Ducks, Calgary Flames and San Jose Sharks.

LEHTERA'S STRUGGLES SPARK SPECULATION.

After struggling the last two seasons with the St.

Louis Blues, Jori Lehtera was looking forward to a fresh start in 2017-18 with the Philadelphia Flyers.

But after appearing in just 17 games this season, the 29-year-old center could be on the move again.

During last Thursdays Insider Trading segment, TSNs Pierre LeBrun reported the Flyers are willing to entertain offers for Lehtera.

He said theyre not aggressively shopping the center but could make him available at the right price.

The Flyers gave up center Brayden Schenn to get Lehtera, a 2017 first-round pick and conditional first-rounder in the 2018 draft.

Considering Schenn is the Blues scoring leader (38 points in 35 games) and among the leagues top-15 scorers, this deal looks laughably lopsided unless one of those draft picks pan out for the Flyers.

Lehtera tallied a career-high 44-points in 2014-15 but his production has steadily declined.

Hes also carrying a $4.7-million annual salary-cap hit through 2018-19.

Unless the Flyers absorb part of it theyre unlikely to drum up much interest.

If unable to trade Lehtera this season, dont be surprised if they buy out his final season next June.

NHL NEWS - Rumor Roundup: Trade buzz surrounding Red Wings, Oilers and Blue Jackets - Duration: 9:01.

Rumor Roundup: Trade buzz surrounding Red Wings, Oilers and Blue Jackets

The Red Wings' struggles, injury to Oilers goaltender Cam Talbot and emergence of Blue Jackets' Pierre-Luc Dubois could have the respective clubs looking at options on the trade market.

Inconsistency continues to plague the Detroit Red Wings this season.

Though they downed the Winnipeg Jets heading into Saturdays contest with the St.

Louis Blues, they managed just two victories in 10 games up to that point.

That included a humilating 10-1 beatdown last Saturday by the Montreal Canadiens.

With the Wings trying to remain in playoff contention, there are questions over head coach Jeff Blashills future in Detroit and speculation over possible trades.

MLive.coms Ansar Khan recently reported GM Ken Holland confirmed hes had trade discussions but he felt the solution for his clubs woes remain within the dressing room.

Perhaps one reason behind Hollands decision is hes not finding much help in the trade market.

At this time of year its difficult for a struggling clubs such as the Wings to find teams willing to part with NHL-ready talent.

Khan observed the Wings carry too many veteran players with hefty contracts and no-trade clauses.

Youngsters such as Dylan Larkin, Anthony Mantha, Andreas Athanasiou and their first-round selection in the 2018 draft are their most tradeable assets but theyre considered vital pieces of the Wings future.

If the Wings fail reverse their fortunes they could become sellers by the Feb.

26 trade deadline.

The Detroit News John Niyo reports Holland believes the next 10-15 games will determine what direction the club takes.

Niyo feels that course has already been determined and believes veterans such as Gustav Nyquist, Tomas Tatar, Mike Green, Trevor Daley "and even Jimmy Howard" should be on the trade block.

However, its up to ownership to make that call.

Of those players, Greens unrestricted free agent status next July could make him easiest to trade, provided he waives his no-trade clause.

He could prove a suitable playoff rental for clubs seeking a power-play specialist with a right-handed shot on the blueline.

Given his $6-million salary-cap hit, however, he likely wont be moved until close to the trade deadline.

Nyquist, Daley and Howard are all signed through next season and carry no-trade protection.

Tatar lacks a no-trade clause but hes under contract through 2020-21 with an annual average value of $5.3 million.

OILERS SEEK BACKUP HELP WITH TALBOT OUT.

The Edmonton Oilers hopes of staying in the playoff chase suffered a serious blow last week as goaltender Cam Talbot was placed on injured reserve.

Backup Laurent Brossoit struggled to carry the goaltending burden, dropping two of three starts while giving up 13 goals heading into Saturdays matchup with Montreal.

With Talbot out for at least another week and Brossoit looking shaky, the Oilers risk losing more ground in the Western Conference standings.

On Monday, TSNs Frank Seravalli reported GM Peter Chiarelli is working the phones in search of help between the pipes.

Seravalli listed Buffalos Chad Johnson, Winnipegs Michael Hutchinson, Philadelphias Michal Neuvirth, Torontos Calvin Pickard and Detroits Petr Mrazek as potential trade targets.

His colleague Darren Dreger also reported the Oilers were among several clubs in touch with the Sabres regarding their goaltending.

Of Seravallis candidates, Johnson could be the best option.

While hes been inconsistent with the Sabres this season, he has a decent career record as a backup.

The asking price could be a fifth-round draft pick to offset the one the Sabres dealt to Detroit earlier this week to acquired center Scott Wilson.

Seravalli noted the Jets are unlikely to move Hutchinson as long as Steve Mason remains sidelined.

Neuvirth is no longer a suitable short-term option, as hes out at least a week with a lower-body injury.

Pickard, currently playing for the Leafs AHL affiliate, would be an excellent choice, but Seravalli felt Toronto probably isnt in any hurry to move him.

Mrazek, meanwhile, carries a $4-million cap hit this season and his own struggles (two wins in seven starts, 3.62 goals-against average and .891 save percentage) doesnt make him an attractive option.

BLUE JACKETS MIGHT BE OPEN TO WENNBERG MOVE.

Since this season began, the Columbus Blue Jackets were believed in the market for a scoring center.

That speculation was stoked by rumors GM Jarmo Kekalainen was in the bidding for Matt Duchene before the Colorado Avalanche shipped him last month to the Ottawa Senators.

However, the emergence in recent weeks of rookie Pierre-Luc Dubois, who is centering wingers Artemi Panarin and Josh Anderson on the Jackets first line, has shaken up that narrative.

Its allowed them to move Nick Foligno back at left wing and employ Brandon Dubinsky and Alexander Wennberg as their second- and third-line centers.

The Athletics Aaron Portzline recently suggested the Jackets might not need a top-six center after all.

In his mailbag segment on Wednesday, he also proposed the emergence of Dubois could mean moving the 23-year-old Wennberg is no longer a non-starter.

After tallying a career-high 59 points in 2016-17, Wennbergs had difficulty this season regaining his offensive touch.

Hes dropped down into the third-line role and also missed six games with an upper-body injury.

Perhaps he might welcome the opportunity to restart his career elsewhere.

Portzline notes the Blue Jackets still need to stabilize the center position.

Instead of chasing an expensive scoring center, perhaps Kekalainen will consider pursuing a more experienced and affordable two-way pivot for his third line in the new year.

NHL NEWS - Rumor Roundup: Sliding Senators ask for no-trade lists, Panthers seek goaltender - Duration: 7:26.

Rumor Roundup: Sliding Senators ask for no-trade lists, Panthers seek goaltender

The Senators slide down the Eastern Conference standings has prompted serious trade speculation in Ottawa, while an injury to Roberto Luongo has the Panthers considering potential backup options.

After coming within an overtime goal of reaching the 2017 Stanley Cup Final, the Ottawa Senators now find themselves the bottom of the Eastern Conference standings.

Entering Tuesdays game against the Buffalo Sabres, the Senators had just one victory in their past 12 contests.

Theyre in danger of falling completely out of the postseason race.

In early-November, the Senators were part of a rare early season, three-team blockbuster deal, shipping center Kyle Turris to the Nashville Predators to acquire center Matt Duchene from the Colorado Avalanche.

With the season in jeopardy a month later, GM Pierre Dorion is reportedly shopping around for help.

If the Sens fail to snap out of its current funk soon, Dorion could be prepared to shake up his roster.

Sportsnets Elliotte Friedman reports the Ottawa GM intends to approach his players carrying no-trade clauses.

The Ottawa Suns Bruce Garrioch said hell be requesting 10-team "no-trade" lists.

Among the notables carrying those clauses are forwards Bobby Ryan, Mike Hoffman and Derick Brassard, defenseman Dion Phaneuf and superstar blueliner Erik Karlsson.

A two-time winner of the Norris Trophy and one of the leagues elite rearguards, the 27-year-old Karlsson would attract consinderable attention if the Sens put him on the trade block.

Friedman said asking Karlsson for a no-trade list doesnt mean the Sens intend to move him, calling it merely an option at this point.

Garrioch, meanwhile, considers a Karlsson trade "highly improbable," citing two league sources claiming theres been no mention of the Senators captain being available.

While its doubtful Karlsson is currently available, his future in Ottawa seems uncertain.

Hes eligible in July 2019 for unrestricted free agent status and publicly indicated hell seek top dollar on his next contract.

That could push his annual average value toward $12 million, making him a very expensive signing for the usually frugal Senators.

Friedmans colleague Nick Kypreos believes trading Karlsson should be a "no-brainer.

" He feels it makes no sense for the Senators to pony up big bucks for a superstar if they cant afford to surround him with quality talent.

July is the earliest the Senators can open contract talks with Karlsson.

Their performance over the remainder of this season and Dorions moves between now and the Feb.

26 trade deadline could have a significant effect upon those negotiations.

If the Senators were to move Karlsson, and thats a big "if" at this stage, it wont happen during this season.

Given his UFA status in 2019, rival clubs will likely want an opportunity to discuss a contract extension first before agreeing to pursue a trade.

Since the earliest that can happen is next July, thats likely the earliest when he could be dealt.

As for those Senators who could be moved this season, Garrioch suggests Hoffman, center Jean-Gabriel Pageau and defenseman Cody Ceci as the best trade chips.

He also feels Brassard might be of interest to playoff contenders.

Teams lacking scoring punch, such as the Carolina Hurricanes and San Jose Sharks, could have interest in Hoffman or Brassard.

Ceci, meanwhile, could be enticing to a club in need of blueline depth like the New York Islanders.

The Buffalo Sabres and Montreal Canadiens could also come calling but Dorion could be reluctant to deal with a division rival right now.

PANTHERS AFTER CREASE UPGRADE.

The Florida Panthers are also in danger of falling further behind in the Eastern Conference playoff race.

Their postseason hopes were dealt a blow when starting goaltender Roberto Luongo suffered a groin injury last week, leaving him sidelined indefinitely.

TSNs Bob McKenzie last Tuesday reported the Panthers were in the market for a goalie.

He said theyd prefer a younger netminder with NHL backup experience over a veteran stopgap measure.

McKenzie suggested Winnipeg Jets third-stringer Michael Hutchinson as an option, a view shared by NBC Sports Scott Billeck.

He pointed out the 25-year-old Hutchinson led the AHL in save percentage (.951) while his 1.73 goals-against average was second to Toronto Marlies goalie Garret Sparks.

The Panthers, however, arent the only NHL club in need of goalie depth.

The Edmonton Oilers and Pittsburgh Penguins could also be making inquiries.

McKenzies colleague Darren Dreger reports Hutchinson suffered a groin injury on Saturday, which could affect his availability if it turns out to be serious.

NHL NEWS - Rumor Roundup: Islanders and Sharks could make perfect trade partners - Duration: 9:12.

Rumor Roundup: Islanders and Sharks could make perfect trade partners

The Islanders' goaltending issues and Sharks' lack of offensive punch could make for a deal that helps both sides.

Meanwhile, the Hurricanes and Red Wings could be active ahead of the deadline.

The New York Islanders successful bid to construct a new arena at Belmont Park overshadowed the clubs recent struggles to retain a playoff berth.

With only three victories in their last 10 games entering Tuesdays contest against the Buffalo Sabres, the Isles (42 points) cling to one of the wild-card berths in the Eastern Conference.

Shaky goaltending is the prime culprit.

The Isles tandem of Jaroslav Halak and Thomas Greiss combined for a league-worst 3.50 goals-against per game.

Compare that to the powerful Isles offense (second overall at 3.56 goals-for per game) and its easy to see where their weakness is.

Halak, the 32-year-old veteran starter, has won 10 of 19 starts but also carries a .906 save percentage and bloated 301 goals-against average.

Greiss numbers (nine victories in 17 starts, with a 3.83 GAA and .883 SP) are much worse.

Newsdays Arthur Staple observes Halaks performance has improved of late.

Hes 5-2-2 in his last nine starts, allowing two goals or less in five of those games.

However, his history of injuries and streaky play make him a dicey gamble over the remainder of the season.

If GM Garth Snow seeks an upgrade in net, he should consider calling the San Jose Sharks.

Backup Aaron Dells numbers (seven wins in 10 starts, 1.94 GAA, .935 SP) are superior to those of Halak and Greiss.

Hes an unrestricted free agent in July and wont unseat Martin Jones as the Sharks starter anytime soon.

The Mercury News Paul Gackle believes Sharks GM Doug Wilson should consider using the 28-year-old Dell as a trade chip.

While such a move could be risky if Jones struggles or becomes injured, Gackle feels its worth it if the return helps them return to true contender status this season.

Offense is a significant issue for the Sharks, slumping to 20th (2.76 goals-for per game) this season.

Wilson is usually among the most active GMs near the trade deadline and could seek a scoring winger.

While the Isles arent likely to part with any of their top-six forwards, perhaps Snow could offer up young forward Joshua Ho-Sang for Dell.

The 21-year-old Ho-Sang has offensive potential but cant seem to stick with the Isles.

He might benefit from a change of scenery the way former Isle Nino Niederreiter did after he was shipped to Minnesota in 2013.

HURRICANES MUST FIND OFFENSE.

The Carolina Hurricanes were expected to show significant improvement in 2017-18.

Thus far, however, theyve yet to take that big step toward perennial playoff contender status.

Lack of scoring remains a problem for Carolina.

Heading into Tuesdays contest with the Montreal Canadiens, the Hurricanes sit 23rd in goals-for per game (2.74).

Only three players – forwards Jeff Skinner, Jordan Staal and Elias Lindholm – have reached double-digits in goals.

The Athletics Pierre LeBrun believes the Hurricanes must make adding an offensive forward a priority leading up to the Feb.

26 trade deadline.

While they could draw upon their considerable blueline depth, LeBrun believes they dont want to address one problem while risking another.

If GM Ron Francis doesnt want to dangle a young defenseman such as Jaccob Slavin, Noah Hanifin or Brett Pesce, perhaps shopping his 2018 first-round pick is an option.

He could also consider moving a couple of quality prospects.

Whatever the option, the Hurricanes must do something soon.

Theyre sitting just outside the Eastern Conference playoff picture and risk missing the cut for the ninth straight season.

Their fans need something to get excited about.

Sitting tight because of an unwillingness to swing a deal for a scorer could send the wrong message.

RED WINGS COULD ENTER SELL MODE SOON.

Last season, the Detroit Red Wings waited until the trade deadline before going into sell mode.

Their performance over the next four weeks could push GM Ken Holland into the trade market by late-January.

With 33 points in 35 games heading into Tuesdays tilt with the New Jersey Devils, the Wings are nine points out of the final wild-card spot in the Eastern Conference.

With only three victories in their last 10 games, theyre on the brink of tumbling out of the race.

In a recent mailbag segment, MLive.coms Ansar Khan told a reader the Wings could still wait until closer to the trade deadline in hopes of getting better returns.

However, he didnt dismiss the possibility that they become sellers once their playoff deficit hits double-digits.

Khan considers defenseman Mike Green as Detroits best trade chip.

A UFA in July, the 32-year-old Green likely doesnt fit into the Wings long-term plans.

Khan speculates he could fetch a low first-round selection from a playoff contender or perhaps two second rounders, pointing out they got a second- and a third-round selection last year for Brendan Smith.

Backup Petr Mrazek was the subject of recent trade speculation and could be shopped leading up to the deadline.

Khan doesnt expect much of a return, perhaps a third- or fourth-rounder.

Given the decline in Mrazeks performance, he might even go for as little as a fifth-round selection.

Khan doubts the Wings will move winger Tomas Tatar.

Gustav Nyquist, however, is a possibility, though that move might take place in the summer.

Hes signed through 2018-19 with a $4.75-million annual cap hit and a no-trade clause.
