Hey guys
Good to see you again
and I don't know if you noticed
but I'm not signing today
and there's a good reason for it
Um...
I cannot remember what video I mentioned this in
but in one of the past video,
I said that I'm retaking GRE again
because I was 2 points away from the minimum
score of the school that I wanted to go to
so
due to that
I have completely neglected studying ASL
and
I
I said no more, I can't do this
trying to study for GRE and try to study study for ASL
Doesn't work
so I'm putting ASL on hold until August
so definitely be on the out look for
ASL video on the last Saturday of August
whichever the date is, I'll put it in the corner, I don't know which corner but here it is
or I'll put it in front of my face
might as well, put it in front of my face anyway
Ummm
The reason I'm putting it on hold until August
is that
I, like I said I have school applications
in June
which is the one that I was talking about like two points away
I also have another school application in July
which doesn't really have minimum score
but I'm going to aim high as well
so I need to focus on those two before I hop back into ASL
uh, carpool again
so yeah
oh the other thing is
different type of video
Uhhh
there's a video that I put out for cochlear implants tutorial
about microphone protectors
last week
or two weeks ago, I can't remember
Um, [recently] I was having a little trouble with my cochlear implant
What happened was there's a hormonal change in my brain
that made me not hear
the soft sounds of all frequencies
we had to move them up to make it louder
I asked my audiologist about microphone protectors
he said changing them out every three months
is a little excessive
except for people who are farmers, construction workers, or general people that are outside
like all day
they need to change it every three months because they're exposed to
pollens, dirt, dust
I don't know what else is out there
but they're exposed to that
so it's recommended that they change it every three months
For ordinary people who work at a desk job or inside all day
we can change our protectors every six months
or as often as you want
when you noticed your hearing deteriorated
which by the way it's a little funny when he said that
just go by hearing
I, I have to laugh because I'm deaf and everything
so when he's like just go by hearing, I'm like
okay
but anyway
so you don't have to change the microphone protectors
every three months, you can change it every six months
or every year like I do
which I really did
I got it changed
last time I went there and it's been about a year so
I didn't notice any differences
it was actually the program that
I needed to change, not the protectors, anyway
So yeah
Summarizing
to wrap it up
ASL lesson on hold until August
Microphone protectors: you don't really need to change it every three months, you can change it every six months
and if you have any questions
beside the ones that I just told you about
could be about deaf life, deaf culture
or life in general
please drop them down in the comments below
and you don't really
have to hit like button or hate button
if you don't like it, you can click thumb down, thumbs down
button if you like this
go ahead and hit the thumbs up button
but then again, that's your choice
and I will see you next Saturday
Bye
