Waching daily Dec 2 2017

Julio, please don't leave! It's Christmas tomorrow!

I beg you! Don't leave!

What does it matter what day it is?

I asked you to try a thousand times.

I can't do this anymore.

I can't spend another day with you.

Julio, please listen! I lost my mom!

If you leave, I'll be all alone.

Please don't leave me.

I've been alone for a long time.

No, please!

Don't!

Please.

I never meant...

I can't.

Expect a call from my lawyer.

Julio, don't! Please!

I love you!

Julio, come back!

We said we'd be together forever!

Julio!

No!

Be very careful when you go back to Mexico.

Say hi to your wife and kids for me.

They'll be surprised when they see you on Christmas night.

Thanks, brother.

Are you sure you don't want to come with me?

You shouldn't spend Christmas alone.

I don't have family over there either.

My ex has a boyfriend, and my kids won't talk to me

because they think I abandoned them.

They were really young when you came here.

If you tell them you did it for them,

they'll understand.

There isn't even work anymore.

Let's go. This place isn't for you.

I can spend Christmas with the other Mexicans here.

We had a good time these past three nights.

You see?

It's been a tough year.

I couldn't save much

because I have to send most of my money to my ex.

Next year will be my year.

I'm thinking of renting a room from someone.

This country isn't for us, Alvaro.

Besides, we're grossly mistreated here.

To be honest, I miss our people.

Plus after Harvey, everyone came here from Houston.

There's not enough work for everyone.

Look, you have plenty of reason to go back.

-Take this. -No, bro.

-Take it. -You need it more than me.

I have enough to get to San Antonio.

I found a job there.

I even have for a few days' worth of food.

I'll be fine here. I'll have food and a bed.

Don't worry. I've got it all planned out.

Alright.

Merry Christmas, bro.

-Merry Christmas. -Take care.

Gentlemen, please. I need your attention.

What's going on?

-The shelter's full. -That's not fair.

Ma'am, it's Christmas. You can't leave us out here.

There's nothing we can do. We're full.

Toño.

I wonder where my son is.

Where could he be?

Could the Grinch have stolen him?

Where could he be?

Here he is!

Thank God I found you! I thought I'd lost you.

That was scary.

What is it? I thought I'd lost you.

I'm a big boy.

That only happens to babies.

I know.

You know, your dad wants to show you the city.

Shall we go?

What's wrong, sweetie?

I wanted to stay home with my friends.

I want Santa to bring me my gifts

so I can play with them tomorrow.

But your dad wanted to see his mom.

Besides, there'll be more presents for you here.

Really?

Yeah.

Come here.

Do you see the baby Jesus?

On Christmas, he'll come to our house

and he'll make any wish come true.

-I don't believe you. -It's true. I promise.

You just have to believe.

Alright. Are you ready?

-Ready? -Yeah.

Keep going. Where does the baby come from?

I'll tell you now. Let's go.

<i> Hello, </i> <i> you've reached Julio.</i>

<i> I can't talk right now,</i> <i> but leave me a message</i>

<i> and I'll call you back.</i>

<i> Thanks.</i>

Julio, please call me back.

At least tell me where you're spending Christmas.

Are you going to your parents'?

Will you tell them you want a divorce?

Honey, please don't.

At least wait until we think things through.

Julio, I...

I know I neglected you

and that I was depressed about my mother's death,

but I'm much better now.

I promise things will be better now.

Come back.

When you come back, I'll be waiting for you

with your favorite Christmas meal.

What do you think?

What do I think?

How am I supposed to celebrate Christmas

when my mother died three months ago?

Stop being so selfish.

Selfish? What are you talking about?

I thought this would make you happy.

That nativity scene belonged to her.

Mrs. Leticia would've loved...

Shut up! Don't start that again.

Decorating the house and listening to Christmas carols

won't cheer me up!

You have no idea how I feel because your parents are alive!

I have nothing!

I'm your husband.

I was by your side during her illness

and I was there when you buried her.

How can you say you have nothing?

Don't play the victim! You know what I mean.

Life goes on, Carmen.

Please.

I don't want to be alone today. Make him come back.

What now?

You're staying here till tomorrow?

It's better than nothing.

Do you like the city, Toño?

I told you you'd have a lot of fun on these vacations.

We'll keep walking

and then we'll go to Grandma's for dinner.

What about the presents?

Baby Jesus will bring them when you go to bed.

Will Santa leave me other presents?

Does he know we'll be at Grandma's?

It's the same thing, son. I'll explain later.

All you need tonight is a Christmas tree,

a nativity scene, and to go to bed early.

Do that and Santa and Jesus will know where to find you.

More importantly, though, stay close to your mom,

you don't want to get lost this Christmas.

I love you, son.

Camelia.

It's me. Alvaro.

I'm not calling to argue. It's Christmas.

I want to talk to the kids. Are they there?

Put them on the phone. But hurry.

This call is expensive.

Yeah.

What do you mean they won't talk to me?

It's okay, you can't force them to talk to their dad.

Thanks, Camelia. Merry Christmas.

<i> Hello, Carmen.</i> <i> I heard your message.</i>

<i> I don't know. </i>

<i> I don't think things</i> <i> will work.</i>

<i> And I don't think</i> <i> we should see each other.</i>

<i> Let me think about it</i> <i> and I'll call you back.</i>

I know you'll come back.

You still love me and you will come back.

Yeah...

<i> Hello, </i> <i> you've reached Julio.</i>

<i> I can't talk right now,</i> <i> but leave me a message</i>

<i> and I'll call you back.</i>

<i> Thanks.</i>

Julio, please call me as soon as you get this message.

You know something?

I made you your favorite. I'll be waiting for you.

Hello.

I was just at the supermarket.

Did you decide what you want to eat on Christmas?

Or would you rather we go to my parents'?

What?

Don't you get it?

I don't want to celebrate Christmas.

I don't want to go to your parents' house

to be reminded my mother is gone.

I don't want to do anything. Is that so hard to understand?

Yes!

It's very hard to understand.

It's also very exhausting.

I've spent months trying to make you feel better.

I'm sick of you not wanting to get better.

I'm sick of feeling guilty

every time my mom calls or every time I talk about her.

What happened wasn't my fault, Carmen.

So it's mine?

We should separate.

You're not serious.

I'm very serious.

Being together just doesn't make sense anymore.

Julio.

You can't leave me! Julio!

What!? What are you doing?

Don't you dare, bastard!

What's wrong with you!?

C'EST PLATE - QUEBEC idiom explained by a FRENCH as Foreign Language TEACHER - Duration: 2:42.

This video will so so short, you won't have time to find it "plate"!

Hi, it's Jackie, welcome on Apprendre le français québécois! Today, we will see the idiom

"C'est plate" or "plate". But before we start let me remind you that you can put some

subtitles in French or in English. You can also click on the little setting

wheel and change the speed. So you can... Put the video slower

or faster. It's as you want. Very short because I don't have a lot of time...

I'm working a lot. So short video. We are seeing the idiom "C'est plate!" or "plate".

So "plate", what does it mean? One possibility is that it means "ennuyant" (boring).

Examples: "'C'est vraiment un film plate!" (It's a very boring movie). "Le roman obligatoire à lire dans le cours de français, je le trouve vraiment plate!"

(The mandatory novel we need to read in the French course, I find it very boring." "Aujourd'hui à la job, il y a personnes... C'est vraiment plate."

(Today at work there's noone, it's really boring.) It can also mean "C'est dommage" (It's a shame/pity). For example, "J'pourrai pas venir à ton party parce qu'il faut que

je travaille" (I won't be able to come to your party because I need to work). Well the other person could tell me:

"Ah ouin, c'est plate!". So here, it means "c'est dommage". Other example, if I say

"Mon voyage est annulé..." (My trip has been cancelled) "Ah ouin, c'est donc bin plate!" (What a shame!) So here it

means c'est dommage. Finally, you can also use it in a sarcastic way.

For example, if someone tells me: "Finalement, ma belle-mère, elle viendra pas en voyage avec nous..." (In the end my mother-in-law won't be coming on the trip

with us) Well I could answer: "Onh, c'est-tu plate!" (Oh.,... What a shame!) So here, it's not really

"plate", It's saracastic! Don't forget that "c'est plate" or the word "plate"

it's a colloquial idiom. So we will use it only with

friends or family. But never we will use it in a formal context. In a formal

context, we will use "c'est dommage" for example or "c'est un peu ennuyant". Yes,

so we use it in an informal context. Voilà! That's it for "C'est plate!"

I hope you didn't think this video was "plate"! Leave me a little thumbs up

and tell me in the comments, what do you think is "plate"? or what do you think

is NOT plate! You can also go see me on my Facebook.

I also sign up on Instagram. I post pictures, that are also on Facebook.

So I'm saying... À la prochaine, bye!

Sangre de mi Tierra | Capítulo 03 | Telemundo Novelas - Duration: 20:41.

: TELEMUNDO NETWORK

Thanks for letting me use your bathroom, girl.

No problem.

I couldn't hold it much longer.

As I was saying, I told Lucho not to keep his friend's merch.

He smelled like a rat... and of course, the cops showed up.

Poor Lucho got two years... and now here I am,

waiting for him to be granted parole.

What about your guy? What happened to him?

We were in an accident.

Juanjo was driving. We were all drunk.

Someone died.

Damn... that really sucks.

So what do you do?

I'm an enologist.

What?

A winemaker.

Damn! That sounds cool!

Yeah, it's awesome.

Consuelo, I've got things to do.

How long have you been living here?

I'm only here temporarily.

That's good.

Girls like you don't really fit in here.

This wine is delicious.

I see why it won awards.

I don't see how my godfather can reproduce it.

He can't. It's impossible.

He's so proud, he'd never ask...

and I won't tell him.

You don't know how important this wine is for him...

and not just him, for Emilio, too.

I see why he was so excited about the award.

Oh, girl...

I miss him so much. Sometimes it hurts to breathe.

I miss him too.

What's this?

The secret formula for Emilio's wine.

Where'd you get this?

Where it's been all along, inside Aurora's mind.

See?

Your daughter doesn't hate you.

You talked her into giving it to you.

I told her the blend meant a lot to you and Emilio.

She simply sat down and wrote it out for me.

Godfather, I know you and Aurora aren't on good terms,

but your daughter loves you very much.

Besides, she wants to honor Emilio's memory.

Coming.

-How are you? -Good, and you?

What are you doing here?

I'm here to save you from your loneliness

and all the drama.

You're coming to live with Jordan and me, stat!

In the trailer? I'll pass.

We just moved to a holistic neighborhood.

It's amazing, Aurora.

It's paradise!

It's just outside Oakland...

<i> and it's abandoned property,</i> <i> but Jordan thinks we can...</i>

You and Joaquin are the only ones

that can help me find a job within my field.

Maybe you can talk to someone from the MAVA

or I don't know, someone from an American winery

who might hire me.

Of course.

You're the first of your generation.

Don't worry,

I'll call Mike and my contacts at Moon River wineries.

I'll write you a recommendation letter

that'll make you hard to turn down.

I know people in Sonoma.

The French folks opening a new winery.

I could call them.

Thank you so much, I really appreciate it.

Oh, I'm sorry.

No worries. I've got things to do.

Hello?

<i> This is a collect call</i> <i> from California State Prison.</i>

<i> Would you like</i> <i> to accept it?</i>

Yes, of course. I will take it.

How are you, baby?

<i> Curly Qs! </i>

<i> We've got a romantic date</i> <i> coming up,</i>

<i> and we're gonna do</i> <i> all kinds of things.</i>

<i> Yes, Mike.</i>

I vouch for her with the utmost confidence.

She's a stupendous enologist.

Nothing like her father, thankfully.

Thank you. She'll be delighted.

See you on the green! Ciao.

Could you be any more shameless?

- DEFINITIVAMENTE, TÚ TIENES ATOLE EN LAS VENAS.

Are you seriously recommending Aurora?

Natalia, none of this is her fault.

So it's mine?

It's not my fault her father stole my vineyard!

Kiddo!

I have a deal for you.

I've been thinking a lot about you...

and you've been chosen.

Chosen for what?

To work for me.

Ivan, I don't want trouble.

I think you've got it all wrong.

I won't be your slave just because you saved my life once.

Alright...

You have the right to turn down the offer,

but I know that sooner or later,

you'll end up begging to be my slave.

Know why?

If you don't work for me,

you'll end up someone else's bitch.

Go ---- yourself... man.

Thanks for bringing me my clothes.

I've got a conjugal visit today.

You're staying with Juanjo?

Oh, Sere.

You better than anyone know how many times

I've tried to leave him.

I just couldn't.

And you know, I don't want to.

Won't your family be upset?

They're already upset with me.

My father forced me to choose... and I chose Juanjo.

I'll wait downstairs, girl!

Number?

One.

This place is nastier than the motel I'm staying in!

<i> Once we're through, </i>

<i> this place will be lookin'</i> <i> like a five-star hotel.</i>

<i> You know I love you,</i> <i> right?</i>

<i> Keep telling me</i> <i> so I never forget.</i>

This is the vineyard cessation document.

Partners must sign on the dotted line.

Only then will the charges be dropped.

Who's first?

Let's get this over with.

Paco.

Go on, sweetie. Don't think too much about it.

You have to sign.

The Montiels signed!

You're the new owner of Viña del Río.

You're a beast, Bautista.

-Good thing you're on my side. -Of course.

Ah, some wine!

Thank you!

I'd like to propose a toast.

To Emilio, to his wine...

and to the new owner of Viña del Río:

my son Leonardo.

What?

Me?

He's spooked!

No need, though.

All you have to do is fill Emilio's shoes...

and work as hard as he did.

At some point,

everything I've worked so hard for will be yours, son.

Have you heard from Natalia?

She isn't answering her phone. Where could she be?

You seriously think so?

Why would she go there?

Whatever the reason, it can't be good.

Let's go.

Mom, no! Stop!

No!

I've got good news and bad news.

Which one first?

-The bad news. -Okay.

This may be bad for you, but not for me.

I want to invite you to dinner.

I'll have to think about it. What's the good news?

I've landed you an interview with the French franchise!

-Seriously? -Yes!

When is it?

I'll tell you the details over a glass of wine.

What do you say?

Burning the vineyard? What were you thinking?

Do you want us getting sued again?

-Have you gone mad? -Yes.

Out of rage and powerlessness.

Crisanto can keep the land,

but not the stock my family planted.

Those were my mother's lands.

We can't lose them.

We must fight!

I can still see her planting roses across the vineyard.

Her roses.

Listen, sweetie.

I don't need a piece of land to remember your mother.

Seeing you is enough.

It's more than enough.

It's just land, sweetie.

We'll buy another plot. I promise.

Just trust me. Trust your old man.

Give me a hug.

We'll be okay.

We'll be fine, sweetie. You'll see.

Honey, it isn't the end of the world.

We have more vineyards.

We can't let this ruin our lives.

Goodnight.

It's 8:00. I said 6:30.

Help me load this onto the truck.

It's getting hot.

We must begin the harvest.

Natalia, have you had breakfast yet?

Would you like me to make you anything?

How about some coffee?

I'm not in the mood.

What are you doing here, cutie?

Isn't your interview today?

Yeah, this afternoon.

I thought I'd help since I have the morning off.

No!

I don't think that's a good idea.

Why not? What is it?

We officially lost Viña del Río yesterday...

and Natalia's livid.

She's in a terrible mood.

Surely you understand.

Yes, of course I do. I'd be upset, too.

Yeah, we're done harvesting,

but I still have stuff to do at the winery.

How was the interview?

It went great.

I think it's a good match for me.

Roberto, thank you so much. You're a great friend.

I've gotta go. Someone's knocking.

Bye.

What are you doing here?

Well, I just got out of work and I remembered you live here.

I thought you might want to grab some coffee.

I'm kind of busy now. Maybe some other time.

Damn.

It's so hard making friends in this neighborhood.

Everyone's so uppity and all that.

I thought you were cool, girl.

Come on! Don't make me beg!

It'll only take a minute.

One coffee and we'll call it a day.

What do you say?

You paid them extra? That wasn't in the budget.

Of course I paid them an extra dollar!

I used to be a day laborer! So was your mother!

Seriously, sweetie. These people are going hungry!

I pay them honest wages!

What is it?

She's unbearable!

She's chiding me like I'm a child!

Unbelievable!

Enough, Natalia. Enough!

We've all had enough!

We've lost the vineyard. End of story.

Get over it. Turn the page!

This isn't about the vineyard.

It's something else.

What?

The problem is your son.

<i> Juanjo's been nothing but</i> <i> trouble since he got here.</i>

<i> He was a terrible student</i> <i> and an aggressive young man.</i>

He lacks any respect, Paco.

I put up with it.

I paid for his shrinks.

I showed him nothing but love and patience...

because he's your son.

Yet in all his years here,

he's never done anything to show his appreciation for us.

He grew up into a man, sure,

but an undisciplined, erratic one.

-He killed Emilio! -He didn't kill Emilio!

He was drunk and high when he killed him, too.

It's your son's fault we lost all ties to the Castañedas

and I lost my vineyard.

What do you want?

What do you want, huh?

Want me to forgive him? Well, I can't!

And you know what?

I'm furious about this whole situation,

but even more so at you and him!

I just hope to God that once he gets out of that damn prison,

I'll never have to see him again!

What's up? How's everything?

<i> We've got the girl</i> <i> ready for the grill.</i>

<i> Zulema's got her</i> <i> where we want her.</i>

<i> We're about</i> <i> to scoop her up.</i>

I love going to the movies, but no action or murder flicks.

I hate violent movies.

I like... you know, comedy and stuff.

I'm tired.

Let's hang out again some other time.

Sure!

Who are you?

Let go!

What's wrong with you?

Let go!

Someone please help!

What's up, kid?

-Have you thought it over? -My answer's no.

That's a shame.

You're gonna end up getting your panties yanked down...

just like your girlfriend right about now.

How about it?

You bastard!

Chill, kid!

<i> Don't hurt me!</i>

<i> What a show!</i>

Leave her alone, you bastard!

<i> Let me go!</i>

I promise.
