Welcome to the Empty Shop.

What's an Empty Shop?

It's an open source idea coming from Brazil,

where people bring good quality clothes that they are not wearing anymore

or that they can't get rid of because of their emotional value

The proceeds of the sale go then to different exciting projects who has a link with Brussels.

You know that feeling, when you buy these amazing shoes that are just a bit too tight,

hoping that they will loosen a bit, and it never happens..

Well, these shoes belong here!!

We support 3 different projects:

the first is Babytheek, The idea is the same as a library, but instead of books you can borrow baby items. It's in Ixelles

The second one is more artistic

SOMMOS, is a project that focuses on people who migrated in difficult circumstances

And the last one, my favourite but I can't say that

, « Cooking with Abu »

it's people who came to Brussels for one reason or another,

and cook for the homeless.

Who gets to decide where the money goes?

It's actually the buyers who decide themselves which project they would like to contribute to.

Wasn't this little dog so funny?

So, from January 15th to 19th,

at the Beursschouwburg, near the Bourse, in Brussels,

during the first part of the week

you can come and give away your clothes, from Monday to Wednesday, from 10 am to 6 pm

And from Wednesday to Friday, you can come buy the clothes.

Also, on Friday evening,

we are throwing a little reception, ,

with bubbles and nibbles,

Friday at 7pm, here at the Beurschouwburg!.
