La Comida Argentina | Me Llamo Nathan - Duration: 5:43.

One of the things that I love most about travel is the food.

I live to eat. Bad food can ruin my day and good food makes me happy, it's really simple.

My time in Argentina was full of really amazing food.

I tried a lot of different, new foods.

Sweet of three peas.

Normally I don't eat a lot of meat, but in Argentina, that rule went out the window.

"Asado" (Barbecues) all the time.

A lot of Argentinians asked me if I had already eaten "asado" (barbecue) in Argentina...

It's the national food, isn't it?

The meat in the US just doesn't compare with what is eaten in Argentina.

And the chicken and beef empanadas... my goodness.

Regardless, I don't know if I could live eating so much meat. It's a lot. A lot for me at least.

How do I explain it? Argentinian food is special. It's not complicated, nor elaborate, but it doesn't exist anywhere else.

I've already explain the concept of a "milanesa" (breaded chicken or beef) to the French and to Americans, and they always respond with:

"Oh yeah, we have that here."

And... no. They do not have, they do NOT have Argentinian milanesa.

A complete "milanesa," with lettuce, tomate, ham, cheese, egg, and of course, the "milanesa."

Here it is.

"is it good?"

Even the mayonnaise is an example of what I'm talking about.

I don't eat mayonnaise in the US because for me it's gross, I don't like it.

But when I discovered Hellmann's, everything changed. Everyhing. Changed.

"Without Hellmann's..."

"With Hellmann's..."

This isn't an ad, they didn't pay me to say this, it's just the truth man.

And in my experience, there are very few "clean" foods in your country.

Well you know what, either that's the case, or I'm just a pig when I eat which is a lot more likely.

I love Choripánes with chimichurri (it's like a kind of hotdog in Argentina), but I always end up with the food... here *whole face.*

This is a chicken breast, with.... egg...

"-with everything."

haha, the bread!

I'm going to need all of this.

It's impossible... it's impossible.

It's impossible... it's just too much

Let's go!

Ok... attempt number 2...

"And is it good?"

And the desserts, Jesus, I don't know how I didn't gain weight.

I'm not going to say that every brand is good, but there is a lot of really good icecream.

I think maybe the brand I like the most right now is Cremolatti, and I'd love to know what you think.

It was Freddo, but I don't know, I guess my taste changed a little bit.

The system with the sizes of icecream over there makes me laugh.

I ask for one scoop, and I watch them give me one, and then a second one. As if the information entered their brains and became multiplied in the process.

1 = 2 and 2 = 4.

No, it's just me?

When I was in Buenos Aires, I tried the "Pastelito."

So this is like a typical dessert after eating empanadas?

"Exactly, for example."

In the countryside. Ok, I'm going to give it a taste, "pastelito," thank you!

Ok, I'm going to try "pastelito" for the first time, it's a typical dessert here in Buenos Aires. It's called: "pastelito."

You can't even imagine.

Jam. Inside on the bottom.

Delicious. A passing couple saw me and said to me, "bon appetit," which for me shows you

how typical this is here in Buenos. As if they knew I was going to really enjoy it.

"Bon appetit."

And everything that has dulce de leche blows my mind.

But I guess I shouldn't be surprised by the quality in Argnetina. Anything and everything grows in the soil over there.

And I love how nowadays there seems to be more interest in organic foods.

I found a homemade food market in Buenos Aires and almost everything was organic.

Homemade bread.

Anyway, those are my thoughts on Argentinian food.

I'm currently in France filming this video, and even here, where there is a ton of incredible food, I find that I miss Argentinian food.

Let me know if you think the same way or if I'm way off the mark, and why.

I don't accept the answer, "me chupa un huevo" (I suck an egg - an expression that means I don't care), because I didn't even talk about eggs in Argentina.

So don't get clever on me!

See you guys!

I want flan
