That's after Jurgen Klopp came close to recruiting play-maker Fekir on the eve of the World Cup in June, agreeing a £53million deal with Lyon for their captain
But despite undergoing a medical and even doing interviews for Liverpool's in-house TV channel, Fekir's move to Anfield fell through late on due to concerns over a previous injury
It is thought the Merseyside outfit were not satisfied by the quality of reparative surgery Fekir had on a knee ligament injury a few years ago and believe it likely he will suffer a reoccurrence in the future
And while he remained linked with Liverpool throughout the remainder of the summer window, Fekir - who was also briefly tipped to join Real Madrid and Chelsea - remained in Ligue 1
The forward has seven goals and four assists in 17 games this season and while Liverpool are flying high at the top of the Premier League, there have been suggestions they lack a natural No 10 such as Fekir despite Xherdan Shaqiri's excellent first six months at the club
Shaqiri was the player who convinced Klopp he did not need to rival Chelsea for Christian Pulisic - who signed from Borussia Dortmund for £58m this week - according to the Liverpool Echo
And satisfied with his options up top, King insists Liverpool have absolutely no plans to make any moves this month
He said on Twitter: "Some bookmakers are offering prices on Nabil Fekir joining Liverpool and suggesting "odds are tumbling"
It's absolute garbage. "Let's be clear for one last time - Nabil Fekir is not a Liverpool target
He will not be a target again. Liverpool won't sign anyone this month." Manager Klopp has previously insisted it would take something "crazy" for him to enter the market
He said: "If crazy things happen then maybe we have to think new but I don't expect that
"At the moment it doesn't look like we will be too busy but it all depends on injuries and things like that
In the moment we have each position twice, three times and sometimes four times covered
"I don't think there is any reason to try to do something really big like bring in another striker
"We have all that we need. Our job now is to use the quality that we have and to work with it because one player doesn't change it
