"The President will receive his annual physical at Walter Reed Friday, February 8th," Sanders said in an email.
Trumps physical exam year sparked controversy after Rear Adm. Ronny Jackson, the physician to the President at the time, despite revealing that the President was borderline obese and has a common form of heart disease.
Trump last year weighed in at 239 pounds and tests showed he had a coronary calcium score consistent with heart disease. The President also presented a high level of LDL, known as "bad cholesterol," prompting his doctors to prescribe him a higher dose of Crestor. Jackson also recommended that Trump lose 10 to 15 pounds.
The President subsequently nominated Jackson to head the Department of Veterans Affairs, but amid a series of allegations of improper behavior. Jackson has denied all wrongdoing.
Trumps physical next Friday likely will be overseen by Dr. Sean Conley, a Navy commander who succeeded Jackson as physician to the President.
