✅ Breaking News - Serie C side thumped 20-0 after fielding seven teenagers EXPELLED - Duration: 2:52.

The Serie C side who were thrashed 20-0 on Sunday have been thrown out of the division by the league's authorities

Lega Pro, who oversee Italy's third tier, decided to kick out Pro Piacenza after their ignominious defeat to Cuneo because only four of the players who featured were properly registered

The club fielded seven teenagers in an attempt to avoid expulsion from the division, having already forfeited three matches this season

But on Monday afternoon Lega Italiana Calcio Professionistico (Lega Pro), who run Serie C, reported that three of the player registrations had been rejected and thus the club failed to field the minimum requirement of seven players

Pro Piacenza had managed to cobble together seven players aged between 16 and 19, and one other - believed to be a 39-year-old physio - who was registered before the second half

The team did not have a manager so captain Nicola Cirigliano was listed as the coach, however the club's efforts were all in vain

The club, who are in serious financial difficulty and have not paid their players all season, had already been deducted eight points before this weekend's embarrasing result

Cuneo had only scored 18 goals in 24 matches before the game while Pro Piacenza had not lost by a greater margin than five goals this season

Edoardo Defendi scored five for the hosts while Hicham Kanis scored a double hat-trick

Michele Emmausso and Francesco De Stefano also padded out their goal tallies with a hat-trick each

Sunday's defeat was branded a 'farce' by local newspaper Sport Piacenza, who stopped their live coverage at half-time with the score at 16-0

A good coating of snow had people clearing off their vehicles in Terryville on Monday morning.

Several inches of snow are still possible throughout Monday.

HARTFORD, CT WFSB Snow developed overnight and left a fresh coating on most surfaces.

A winter weather advisory is in effect for the entire state until 11 a.m. Monday morning. Its the reason Channel 3 declared an Early Warning Weather Alert.

Schools that werent off for the holiday posted delays while a number of cities and towns issued parking bans. See the list .

"The roads are snow covered and quite messy, so please be careful as you head out the door," said meteorologist Scot Haney.

Track the weather with Early warning Pinpoint Doppler .

The precipitation hasnt been all snow. Sleet and freezing rain were reported along the shoreline.

Regardless if the snow and/or mix, it will become more intermittent throughout the morning.

"Snow and rain showers may continue throughout the day," Haney said. "Finally, all precipitation will come to an end later this afternoon as the storm system slips into the Gulf of Maine."

Snowfall predictions should range between 1 and 4 inches.

The shoreline will be on the low end of that.

High temperatures for the day will be in the 30s.

The state will see a break from wintry weather on Tuesday.

"Youre going to need your umbrellas and ice scrapers by midweek," Haney said. "Yes, another storm will impact Connecticut Wednesday and Thursday."

The timing and type of precipitation remains in question, however.

As of Monday mornings forecast, it looks to develop as snow later in the day on Wednesday, possibly after the evening commute.

Then, it could mix or change over to sleet and rain overnight. The greatest chance for any accumulation would be in northern Connecticut.

Plain rain is possible early Thursday morning. Conditions should improve by the afternoon.

For the rest of the week, the state appears to be storm free.

Man Utd news: Jose Mourinho makes Liverpool transfer claim and reveals January plans - Duration: 1:36.

Jurgen Klopp's side are top of the Premier League table as they prepare to welcome Mourinho's struggling Manchester United to Anfield on Sunday

Klopp spent around £173million to sign Fabinho, Naby Keita, Alisson and Xherdan Shaqiri in the summer

However, Mourinho insists Liverpool are doing many things right and claims they have not simply bought success

"Is not just about the money they spend in the summer, is about many things," he said

United's outlay in the summer was less than half of their rivals', with Mourinho spending a combined £71m on Fred and Diego Dalot

However, reports claim he will be backed with significant funds to turn around their difficult start to the campaign

United are currently sixth in the Premier League table, a whopping 16 points behind leaders Liverpool and eight points off the Champions League places

Mourinho is known to be desperate for a new centre-back and has been linked with a stunning £100m move for Napoli's Kalidou Koulibaly

However, the Portuguese said he would not spend just for the sake of doing so. "It is not just about spending money and reinforcing the squad," he said

"A football team is more than that, it is not just about spending the money. "It Is like a house, too it is not just about buying the furniture, you have to do work, you spend money on the best possible furniture and then you're ready to live in an amazing house

" Mourinho all gave an insight into the team he will play for the trip to Liverpool

Marcus Rashford, Jesse Lingard and Ashley Young will all start the clash, while David de Gea will come back in to the side after missing Wednesday's Champions League clash with Valencia

Liverpool News - Worried Bayern Munich boss Kovac makes huge Liverpool admission - Duration: 1:42.

Bayern Munich boss Niko Kovac insists Liverpool were the worst possible draw for his side, on the eve of their Champions League last 16 clash

Bayern finished top of Group E but were paired with last season's finalists, after the Reds edged out Italian side Napoli to finish behind Paris Saint-Germain in Group C

Kovac finds himself under pressure with Bayern having endured an inconsistent campaign - by their own usual high standards - that has left them playing catch up in the Bundesliga

But Bayern, European Cup winners at Wembley in 2013, have not failed to reach the last eight since 2011

In each of the last five years, they have been beaten by finalists - four times losing only to the eventual winners

But a somewhat downcast Kovac admits that they face a tough task against Jurgen Klopp's men

"We're playing against an opponent that is the most difficult draw," said the Croatian

"If you look at what Liverpool did in the Champions League last season and what Liverpool are doing in the Premier League this season, then you have to say Liverpool is the most difficult draw that there is

Jurgen Klopp urges Liverpool to use the "outstanding power" of Anfield in Bayern clash  "Other draws would have been difficult, but I maintain that this game - and in Munich - the form on the day will be decisive

"I don't know if there is a favourite or not. Liverpool has respect for us as we do for them and there will be a sporting contest

"In the Bundesliga we've played against two teams, Dortmund and Leverkusen, who have had a similar playing style and also the right quality

But tomorrow is a higher level.  "We have to find the solutions."  Bayern are without the suspended Thomas Muller and have left Jerome Boateng at home due to illness

The participation of Leon Goretzka, the Germany midfielder, is also in question, after the ex-Schalke star trained alone on Monday

England cricket legends in furious clash over ISIS bride Shamima Begum - News Today - Duration: 2:27.

England cricket legends Michael Vaughan and Mark Ramprakash were embroiled in a furious Twitter row over ISIS bride Shamima Begum

The pair had a clash of opinions over Shamima, who has pleaded to be allowed to return to the UK four years after fleeing her home in Bethnal Green, London, for Syria

Shamima, who gave birth this weekend, was found living in a refugee camp.  She has said that she wanted to return to Britain for the protection of her new-born child, sparking wild debate about whether she should be allowed back

Vaughan and Ramprakash, who have played 134 Test matches for England between them, have differing views on the case

Vaughan tweeted: "Sometimes laws and rules have to be broken.  "No way this country should allow Shamima Begum back into this country

"  But Ramprakash disagreed, replying: "Is that laws and rules when it suits your point of view? A dangerous road to go down!"  Vaughan then asked his former teammate if he would let Shamima back into the UK

To which Ramprakash replied: "You insinuated that laws and rules be broken Michael, who decides when that should happen? It leads to anarchy, is this what you are advocating?"  Vaughan hit back, saying: "I think every case like this one should be treated as individual cases

"And on this occasion with what decided to do four [years] ago I wouldn't let her back

"What would you? Let her come back?"  Ramprakash responded: "Every case should be individual

"You moved from the particular to the general saying you can break laws when it suits you

"That is dangerous! Did you agree with the breaking of the law with the Jo Cox murder?"  Clearly incensed, Vaughan continued to reply, adding: "I don't know what you're implying

"Stop trying to say I agree with any mindless act. Now answer the question.  "Would you like to welcome the girl back into our country and communities?" Vaughan and Ramprakash's Twitter spat in full Read More ISIS Bride Shamima Begum

Venezuela in crisis Seven stories to get up to date News Al Jazeera - Duration: 4:21.

Venezuela in crisis Seven stories to get up to date News Al Jazeera

Nearly a month after opposition leader Juan Guaido declared himself president, Venezuela plunges deeper into crisis.

Nearly a month has passed since the backed Venezuelan opposition leader, Juan Guaido, declared himself interim president in front of a crowd of his supporters.

In turn, President accused Guaido and the US of staging a coup.

Since then, the US has upped its pressure, slapping sanctions on Venezuelan state owned oil company PDVSA and the officials who back Maduro.

Denying that a humanitarian crisis is taking place in the country, Maduro has refused to allow aid sent by the US, letting it stockpile at the Colombia border.

As the political crisis deepens, here are seven stories and programmes to get you up to date:

From May 2018s contested election to why having the Venezuelan militarys backing is so important, Al Jazeeras Elizabeth Melimopoulos to the crisis in this simple explainer.

Read .

Inside Venezuela, many are focussed on getting enough money for food on their tables. A day after Guaido declared himself interim president, Al Jazeeras Erika Fiorucci caught up with Venezuelans waiting outside a bank in Caracas, hoping to cash their pension cheques.

Waiting in the line were both Maduro and opposition supporters, as well as many who just wanted the crisis to end.

"I dont care if the president is Maduro or Guaido," one woman told Al Jazeera.

"I just know that with the money the bank will give me today, I will only be able to buy a kilo of cheese and another of rice, half of what I would have bought last week."

As the crisis deepens, medicine shortages are harming the countrys hospitals.

Al Jazeeras Teresa Bo  in Barcelona, Venezuela where at least 14 children died in one week following an outbreak of amoebiasis, a form of dysentery transmitted by contaminated food or water.

"Three years ago, we stopped receiving gauze and alcohol. There are not enough syringes or serums to hydrate the children," hospital worker Jose Planes told Al Jazeera.

Marleea Marino lost her two month old baby that week as a result of the outbreak; his body remains in the hospital because she has failed to collect the money for a coffin.

"There is nothing here, they have no medicine, they dont have food," she said. "And now my son is dead."

On the Colombia Venezuela border, rights groups are crossing into Colombia.

Aid groups in Cucuta documented a surge in the number of Venezuelans crossing into Colombia in January.

Although its hard to pinpoint the exact cause, rights groups worried as the humanitarian crisis zone, which was once largely confined to the border, crept inland, putting pressure on already strapped resources in the country.

Dylan Baddour spoke to Marta Duke, who has opened her home up to Venezuelans who are making the trek inland. She said dozens of Venezuelans sleep in her home each night.

"In the new year, the quantity has exploded," Duke said. "Im worried."

Earlier this month, Al Jazeeras Lucia Newman sat down with Guaido, who said he will do everything in his power to overcome the crisis.

"Governability, stability, the lowest social impact possible, attend to the current humanitarian emergency, reactivate the economy to create jobs for citizens and steer Venezuela towards democracy," Guaido said.

Guaido refused to rule out backing a possible US military intervention in the country. "We will do everything possible, everything there is to achieve freedom in Venezuela."

Al Jazeera also spoke to Maduro, who accused the US of trying to destabilise his country.

Maduro said that his government should have control over its borders and imports.

"Any material that comes from outside the country must be subject to certain conditions such as inspection and taxes as in all countries, whether by air, sea or land, and then there will be no problems," Maduro said.

"The theatrical presentation they are attempting on February 23 will not happen," he added, referring to the date that Guaido set to lead aid into the country.

The current situation in Venezuela stems from years of crisis, and as this from February 2018 points out, the seeds of the countrys current demise were planted a century ago.

Also check out these two opinions:

George Ciccariello Maher is not the Venezuelan people, but foreign right wing governments.

And Maryhen Jimenez Morales does not need another charismatic strongman, rather strong institutions and the rule of law.

Liverpool news: Nabil Fekir likeliest January transfer despite Ousmane Dembele links - Duration: 1:42.

Liverpool came close to signing Fekir from Lyon back in the summer with the Reds hellbent on landing the France international

Ultimately, however, a transfer failed to happen. The Reds pulled out of a deal and, despite reports claiming they would reignite their interest, eventually chose to focus on the signing of Alisson Becker from Roma instead

Liverpool have been in sparkling form but a January transfer splurge is not to be ruled out, amid reports the club's owners are ready to make funds available

And Coral say that Fekir is their likeliest signing. The France international continues to impress for Lyon over in Ligue 1, recently helping them reach the knockout stages of the Champions League

Coral have made Liverpool 2/1 favourites to sign Fekir. Dembele, who has been linked with a move away from Barcelona, is the next likeliest at 4/1

Watford powerhouse and PSG playmakers Abddoulaye Doucoure and Adrien Rabiot have been priced at 8/1

And bringing up the rear is Lorenzo Insigne at 10/1, with Malcom and Jack Grealish at 12/1 and 16/1 respectively

"It isn't the first time that Nabil Fekir has been linked to Liverpool but judging by the number of bets we have taken over the past few days, punters certainly believe that Jurgen Klopp will finally land his many in January," said Coral's John Hill

"Ousmane Dembele has been linked with a move to the Premier League and the betting suggests it could be a two-horse race between Arsenal and Liverpool for his signature next month

" Meanwhile, Reds legend Mark Lawrenson believes Liverpool could splash the cash in the New Year

But only if Klopp has specific targets in mind. "Financially, the club is in great shape," Lawrenson wrote on BBC Sport

"If Klopp wants to buy in January, then he will have the funds to do so. "I find it intriguing that, for the first time, players are no longer cup-tied in Europe if they have already played for one Champions League side this season

"That could be a factor in Liverpool luring a player who could really enhance their squad next month

"

Liverpool News - Klopp may be forced into last change he would have wanted to make for CL clash - o - Duration: 1:18.

With Virgil van Dijk suspended through yellow card accumulation in the group stages, Liverpool will be without their defensive leader for Tuesday night's clash with Bayern in the Champions League and it may have just got a lot worse for Jurgen Klopp

On the chalkboard  Having fell at the final hurdle last season as Real Madrid emerged victors of the final, the Reds will be hoping to go one further this time around but will have to get through Bayern first if they are to progress to the quarter finals

The Anfield Stadium outfit's big problem last campaign was their defence and goalkeeper – both of those weaknesses have been addressed now with the signings of Van Dijk and Alisson Becker but the former will not be in contention for the first leg and, with Joe Gomez out injured and Dejan Lovren also looking unlikely to play, Klopp has a bit of a headache

The former Dortmund boss discussed the possibility of Fabinho deputising at centre-back again although this will be detrimental to Liverpool, who will undoubtedly miss the number 3's physicality in the middle of the park

Pulling together  One of multiple summer signings, Fabinho's gradual integration into the team has seen him become a key member of the Reds midfield and he has even stepped into the defence when required, owing to his versatility

Joel Matip will likely directly replace Van Dijk with the former Monaco man coming in as his partner in an unorthodox pairing

Klopp may be light of centre-back options but, equally, the 25-year-old's skill-set is unmatched in the middle and, while they are stacked with legs, they will undoubtedly miss having that anchor

At 6-foot-2, the Brazilian towers over the other Liverpool midfielders but he is still far from lacking in the technical department – see his assist for Sadio Mane versus Manchester United

He has shown previously that he can play capably in the back four and so, by deploying him there, Klopp loses more in the midfield than defence for this clash despite the absence of van Dijk

We all love the Champions League theme tune but you've never heard it like this before! Check out the video below…

✅ Breaking News - Mercedes boss Wolff claims no-deal Brexit would be a 'nightmare' - Duration: 2:36.

Toto Wolff believes Brexit will leave British-based Formula One teams at a major disadvantage - and a no-deal outcome would be a nightmare for the industry

Mercedes chief Wolff insisted Brexit would hand Ferrari more power over his Brackley-based team

The UK will depart the European Union on March 29 and there is currently no deal in place

Share this article Share 'Ferrari in Italy, Alfa Romeo in Switzerland, they would have a massive advantage over every UK-based team,' said Wolff, speaking as his team put their new car through its paces at testing in Barcelona

'We are looking at the various scenarios with Mercedes-Benz UK because it not only impacts Formula 1 but it impacts also the mother brand in terms of getting cars and parts in and out of the country

'But I can see very much if a 'no-deal' Brexit would happen like has been discussed, I think it would have a major impact in terms of our operation going to the races and getting our cars developed and ready

'So that is a nightmare scenario that I don't want to even envisage.'We do have certain contingencies in place, like more stock and thinking about how we would get parts and people in and out of the country - but it would be a disruption and it would cause all the UK teams a lot of headaches

'Brexit is a major concern for us and should be a major concern for all of us that live in the UK and operate out of the UK

'Lewis Hamilton and Mercedes are aiming to defend the drivers' and constructors' titles when the season starts in Australia next month

Wolff also revealed Hamilton has been working out as he looks for a sixth title. He added: 'The weight regulations have been lifted and he has come back stronger and musclier than before

'He's in a super mental state, the best I've seen so far. He looks physically and mentally in shape

Half an hour before the session he was all ready to go. I think a good start.' Share this article Share

Liverpool News - Bayern Munich stars touch down in Liverpool for Champions League clash - Duration: 1:48.

Bayern Munich have touched down on Merseyside ahead of Tuesday night's crucial Champions League encounter with Liverpool at Anfield

Robert Lewandowski and Mats Hummels were among the big names pictured arriving at John Lennon Airport on Monday afternoon

Thomas Muller, who is banned for the last-16 tie, joined his team-mates on the flight as they prepare for arguably the most important game of their season so far

Renato Sanches was seen signing autographs on his return to England after a nightmare season on loan at Swansea, while Niklas Sule and Manuel Neuer both made their way onto the red team bus

Meanwhile, Bayern captain Neuer is well aware of the dangers Liverpool pose ahead of Tuesday night's first leg

Liverpool go into the mouthwatering tie as narrow favourites - owing strongly to their impressive Premier League campaign

And with Jurgen Klopp's side boasting the firepower of Sadio Mane, Mohamed Salah, Roberto Firmino and Co, Neuer knows his side face two tough games

'Yes, they have very good, fast breaks and aggressive counter attacks but we know that

We saw how they play against teams,' the goalkeeper said of Liverpool's dangerous attacking style to ESPN FC

'We have to stay compact and have a good plan then we will have good protection for our defence

'I will be watching the way the strikers move and shoot with the analysts.'Liverpool's impressive season differs with Bayern's - who have had an underwhelming campaign by their lofty standards under new coach Niko Kovac

Bayern sit second in the Bundesliga, behind rivals Borussia Dortmund, and Neuer believes their sloppy start is down to the players and not their under-fire manager

'It was our fault, the fault of the players. We gifted so many presents to the opponents, and they took their chances

We didn't,' he reflected.'We were at least equal to every opponent we played against, but we didn't [always] get the points

We have to do better.'
