Waching daily Jan 3 2019

Hey everybody! So today I'm back at work! It's the first day for the new spring

semester yay "and there was much rejoicing". I just wanted to give you a

quick update on a couple of things. First of all I wanted to let everyone know

that you can follow me on Instagram as well as Twitter. On Instagram I'm going to

be posting some audio related pictures like microphone techniques and

other things that you might find helpful, as well as maybe the occasional picture

of my dog!

She likes to attack the sprinkler it's pretty funny. Also I have an announcement

that is mostly directed towards my former and current students. This is my

last semester at Northeast Community College.

What the f**k was that???

My wife and I have been talking for quite a while about what we're going to

do with the rest of our life when the kids are out of the house, and believe it

or not, we are at that point. Yes, I am old enough to have kids that are out of the

house. My youngest is 18! I'm old! So for quite a while we've tossed around a

number of ideas and one thing in particular that we both agreed on was that we

want to go somewhere warmer where we don't have to shovel our driveway! Don't

like snow! So we are moving to the Dallas Texas area. So what's next for me? Well,

I'm probably going to be looking for something in higher education

administration, but I am going to be continuing to do audio on the side as

freelance engineer - some recording and some live sound - and I plan on still

running this YouTube channel. I'm going to do as many videos as I can this semester

while I have this studio at my disposal, but I am going to be looking for other

places to be do my videos. After all, it is "Mr. B in the Studio" so I'm going to

need to find a studio! I sincerely hope that you will all stay in touch. I'm

going to continue to post my videos and other things on the Facebook page, and

you should know that you can always feel free to contact me when you have

questions about audio, about jobs, about life, anything!

One of the great things about this teaching job has been the relationships

that I have been able to continue for so many years. It's been great working here.

It's been wonderful to pass on these skills to the students who have come

through these doors. The other thing that's been great is how much I have

learned from all of you. I wouldn't be the engineer that I am today if it

weren't for the time that I've spent in the control room with you guys. Thank you

so much for your support and your friendship, and I will continue to see

you online, and hopefully again someday in person. See ya!
