Man Utd news: David de Gea refusing to agree new contract because of one player - Duration: 3:49.

De Gea is out of contract in the summer although Manchester United do have a clause they can trigger to extend it by another year

But they are trying to agree terms on a new deal to show De Gea they appreciate him

However, according to the Daily Mirror, De Gea wants a huge rise on his £175,000 a week deal and is eyeing £300,000 a week

And it's all because of the deal handed to Alexis Sanchez last January. Sanchez penned a deal worth around £500,000 a week with add ons and is the highest paid player in English football

And De Gea, along with Anthony Martial, wants a rise to suit the new wage structure at the club

The United stopper has still been one of the side's best players this season despite the struggles

United have been poor defensively and yesterday Mourinho branded them awful after the 2-1 comeback win over Bournemouth

WHY ALEXIS SANCHEZ SHOULD BE ANGRY WITH JOSE MOURINHO Mourinho told BT Sport: "We were a very, very lucky team

"It was a first half that could, should be, game over, 5-2, 6-2 easily, and in the second half until we scored I had the feeling we were a very unlucky team because we should score three, four, five goals

"We were really poor, defensively awful. And I do not just look to my defenders, as a team we did not start pressing up, the work we did during the week

"People watching this game will not believe how hard we worked this week. The first half was a disaster

"It is what we call a game of two halves. In the first half, Bournemouth were by far the best team and in the second half we were the best team by far

"We have fantastic character and the heart that any result, the game is not over and we go until the end

"I am trying to find the balance where we develop the team in the second, third phase of attack

When we are in control we have no problems, but when the opponent is in control we do

" And Mourinho, earlier last week, admitted he was not confident of De Gea signing a new deal

A claim that is believed to have confused De Gea and his people because of his happiness at the club

"I am not confident," he told Sky Sports. "I cannot find the word in English, but let's see what happens

"Only the club, David and his people can answer that. My comment is only that everyone knows how good he is, how important he is for Manchester United and, if the club want to be better than it is and not worse, obviously it would be very important to keep David

"

Transfer news LIVE: Arsenal EXCLUSIVE, Man Utd contract blow, Chelsea exits, Liverpool - Duration: 3:58.

Transfer news LIVE updates: Latest updates Sunday 4 NovemberBayern Munich in the race for Aaron Ramsey - EXCLUSIVEMan Utd stars stalling on new dealsRuben Loftus-Cheek wants Chelsea stay Bayern Munich want Ramsey Bayern Munich have emerged as surprise front-runners in the pursuit of Welsh international Aaron Ramsey when he leaves Arsenal in the summer

The Gunners have told the midfielder that he won't be offered a new deal when his contract runs out at the end of the season and he will be allowed to leave

The Bundesliga giants have been showing a keen interest in Ramsey's contract talks with Arsenal, which have collapsed with the club looking to make some wage-bill savings

And they would like to sit down and offer him a deal to move to Germany as soon as they are allowed under FIFA rules early in the New Year

The news with be a blow for Manchester United, who have Ramsey near the top of their summer shopping list

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp is also mulling over if he wants to get involved in what could become a bidding war for the former Cardiff City man

But Chelsea are now having second thoughts about making a move for Ramsey after the early-season form of their England players Ross Barkley and Ruben Loftus-Cheek

Ramsey came off the bench in the 73rd minute during Arsenal's 1-1 draw with Liverpool

De Gea stalling on Man Utd deal David de Gea wants Manchester United to pay him around £300,000 a week - because of Alexis Sanchez's wages

De Gea is negotiating a new deal at United and wants a huge rise on his £175,000 packet

Sanchez was signed in January and earns around £400,000 a week basic. And De Gea, as well as Anthony Martial, are stalling on new deals until they see a jump in wages put on the table

RLC wants to stay Ruben Loftus-Cheek has responded to suggestions he should leave Chelsea

Loftus-Cheek has struggled for football this season after choosing to stay and fight for his place

Matteo Kovacic, Ross Barkley, Cesc Fabregas and Loftus-Cheek are all fighting for that spot alongside Jorginho and N'Golo Kante

But he stresses he wants to make an impact at the club. "I hear it a lot, and I can see why people are saying that, because I'm 22 now and haven't got too many Premier League starts to my name," he told Soccer AM

"I haven't played too many minutes, whether it be in the Premier League and the Championship, and at 22 it's not seen as enough by some people

"I do hear it. I love the club and I love Chelsea, I want to play for Chelsea. "I made a lot of steps last year

Playing football was massive for me and you can see why people want to see me play, and I want to play as well

Man Utd news: Why Alexis Sanchez should be angry with Jose Mourinho after Bournemouth win - Duration: 4:07.

That's the opinion of Ian Wright. The 29-year-old has been widely criticised for his displays since moving to Old Trafford last January and was restricted to appearances from the bench against Newcastle and Chelsea lately

But the former Arsenal star was in improved form against the Cherries as United once again came from behind to win, leading the line with Romelu Lukaku absent through injury

After a first half that Jose Mourinho described as "absolutely awful" defensively with Anthony Martial cancelling out Callum Wilson's effort against the run of play, Marcus Rashford scored a stoppage-time winner for United on the south coast

And Wright believes Sanchez played a significant part in the win after he provided the assist for Martial's equaliser in the 35th minute and brought movement and liveliness up top

But the Chilean was hauled off by Mourinho late on in favour of Jesse Lingered with United still chasing a winner and former Arsenal striker Wright thinks Sanchez should not be happy about his manager's decision

Asked whether Sanchez was back to his best against Bournemouth, Wright said on Match of the Day: "Yeah we're seeing it now

"The thing is, I was quite pleased for him because we know he's a quality player but what he done today - he stretched them and got himself into positions

"When you've got time on the ball like [Paul] Pogba had, he's making great runs

Super run and you're thinking Pogba might be able to find him.  "He was doing this quite frequently, stretching them, and going into nice positions

I think it [Sanchez] suits him [playing centrally] because he naturally wants to stretch team and he's got the quality and ability to cause teams problems

"This is the goal, he wins the ball - people saying it was handball, I thought it just hit him really - then he picked Martial out beautifully

"Brilliant movement and could have scored today, he was unfortunate not to score

"This is real quality - holds it up well, great skill, lays it off and then gets his time on the ball to play balls like that

That's what he can do.  "I thought he was unfortunate to get taken off today. I think he's getting somewhere near what we know and I'd have been very disappointed being taken off after playing like that today

" Likewise Mourinho was impressed by Sanchez as he explained the thinking behind his attacking unit

He continued: "The way I like to play is with three attacking players where there is not a clear definition of the winger as a winger

"And I like the winger is somebody with a striker or formation or with a striker appetite

I always had that in my team, with wingers scoring a lot of goals, sometimes even more goals than the striker

"So is not impossible at all to have in the same team and at same time Romelu Lukaku or Alexis, for example

"Today Romelu was not available and we thought Alexis could do what he did, he a had a good assist, mobility, he create some problems

" Sanchez could also be trusted to start up front when United face Juventus away from home in the Champions League on Wednesday night (8pm) with Lukaku battling to recover from a muscle injury in time

Liverpool news: Why Arsenal 'rode their luck' with Emirates draw vs Reds - Ian Wright - Duration: 4:45.

Alexandre Lacazette's 82nd minute equaliser forced a draw after James Milner had earlier drilled the Reds ahead at the Emirates Stadium

Liverpool remain 11 games unbeaten in the Premier League and moved top of the table, but are likely to have slipped two points behind rivals Manchester City - who are widely expected to comfortably beat Southampton on home soil today (3pm)

Jurgen Klopp's men had ample chances to win the game in north London with Virgil van Dijk hitting the post with one header and forcing two good saves from Bernd Leno with other opportunities

But they came away feeling particularly aggrieved at being denied a goal in the first half, with the linesman adjudging Sadio Mane to have been in an offside position after he tapped into an empty net from a Roberto Firmino shot which came back off the post

Mane was offside in the first phase of play as Trent Alexander-Arnold floated a ball over the top of Arsenal's back-line but replays showed him behind the ball as Firmino flicked goalwards

That was with the score still at 0-0 in the first half, Klopp later bemoaning: "I think it was a goal

I said it already 20 times, it's football. It's a pity it didn't count. In the moment, it would have been nice if this goal would have counted

" And Arsenal legend Wright admitted that the goal should have stood and that Arsenal "rode their luck"

He told Match of the Day: "Yeah they were [hard done by].   "If you look at it here, his position here - he's in an offside position [from the pass] but he doesn't get involved in it but here [as Firmino shoots] he's onside clearly

"So when it comes off the post, unfortunately for Liverpool he's disallowed the goal the linesman and he's had a nightmare for them

"I suppose that's where Arsenal rode their luck in that respect."  But despite the officiating error, Wright believes Unai Emery's side were well worth a point for their attacking approach

"I thought Arsenal were under pressure because a lot of people have been saying on this [unbeaten] run that they haven't played anyone of substance

"Obviously they lost to City and Chelsea at the start but I think they proved a lot of people wrong today because they came out and really had a go at Liverpool

I thought they deserved something out of it." Klopp, meanwhile, felt that Liverpool were not good enough in the first half, declaring: "It was very intense

It's clear Arsenal are in a very good moment. We made life a bit too easy for them in the first half, formation-wise I was not happy at how compact we were and stuff like that

"When we had the ball it was good, we were a threat, we were in behind. The start was like 'Wow, Arsenal are there' but then the first attack we had, everyone knew 'OK, they are not too bad as well!'  "It was then a pretty open game

Our set-pieces were outstanding and we should have scored from them; Virgil said immediately after the game he should have had a hat-trick, but he had not even one [goal]

That's a shame.  "Second half we changed formation a bit and it helped us today. We scored a really nice goal, had super counter-attacks, played good football in a lot of moments

"But first half we were not compact enough, the three in midfield had to do too much and then the one time we don't close the half-space, they play the ball through and could score the goal

"It's not nice, but of course a point at Arsenal will always be an absolutely good result so we take it

Now let's carry on."
