Ernesto Valverde is concerned about the strength of his defence should Samuel Umtiti require an operation

And, according to Mundo Deportivo, he is keen to bring in an experienced head should he need a replacement

A shortlist of players has been drawn up and includes Chelsea's David Luiz, Arsenal's Laurent Koscielny and former Chelsea star Branislav Ivanovic

Luiz has returned to the fold at Chelsea this season under Maurizio Sarri after being exiled by Antonio Conte last term

So it is unlikely Chelsea would sell the Brazilian mid-season. Koscielny though remains on the injury list at Arsenal and is yet to play under new boss Unai Emery

He was named captain at the start of the season following Per Mertesacker's retirement but it remains to be seen whether or not the France defender will return to the team

Ivanovic, 34, left Chelsea for Zenit in 2017 and recently became the most-capped Serbian player in history

He would offer Barcelona flexibility by playing at right back as well as in the centre

Barca have had a mixed start to the season but top La Liga after 11 games. They have drawn three and lost one already as the standards in Spain appear to be slipping

European champions Real Madrid are down in sixth place after four defeats saw Julen Lopetegui sacked last week following the Clasico defeat

Barca want to sign Matthijs de Ligt in the long-term but are keen to bring in a defender who has played at the highest level and would be able to adapt quickly

But they also want someone affordable so they will go for players well into their 30s

'SNL' Cold Open: Fox News Claims Alec Baldwin 'Molested A Young Boy Scout' In Hilarious Sketch - Dai - Duration: 2:16.

During 'SNL's cold open, Fox News covered Alec Baldwin's arrest, claiming the actor had 'molested a young boy scout!' Watch the hilarious dig here!    SNL came out swinging at Fox News coverage of the caravan

Over the course of the show's cold open, it was compared to Black Friday shoppers, the zombies from World War Z (they even claimed that Brad Pitt was dating the caravan, calling their celebrity couple "Bradavan"), and a bunch of crabs

Literally a bunch of crabs. But the funniest part of the cold open was when Laura Ingraham (played expertly by Kate McKinnon) said that Alec Baldwin had a "molested" a young boy scout, showing a graphic of Alec's appearance in a sketch with Adam Sandler

So far, SNL has had two stand-out cold opens this season. In one of them, Alec Baldwin returned to play Donald Trump to recreate the president's wild meeting with Kanye West

Not only did Baldwin's Trump come to the realization that Kanye was basically the black version of himself, he praised the rapper, saying, "We are both geniuses, we're both married to beautiful women and we've both definitely been recorded saying the N-word

"  The other cold open, which was arguably the best of the season so far, was when Matt Damon portrayed Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh

At one point in the sketch, Damon yells, "I lifted weights every day . . . am I angry? You're damn right! But if you think I'm angry now you just wait until I get on that Supreme Court and then you're all going to pay!" Brought to you by…#SNL pic

Music teacher arrested after caught on video punching a student - Daily News - Duration: 5:34.

A high school music teacher was arrested after he was caught on video launching a vicious attack on a student in front of his band class

Marston Riley, 64, was arrested on Friday on suspicion of child abuse and causing great bodily injury on a child in Maywood, California

The violent altercation took place at 1.30pm during fifth period at Maywood Academy High School and was filmed on a student's cellphone

Riley allegedly told a student to exit the classroom because he wasn't wearing a proper uniform, however in the video the students seem to have a relaxed dress code

The student allegedly refused and in turn challenged the black teacher to fight, calling him the n-word and throwing a basketball at him

The students quickly stop playing their instruments and whip out their phones to film the fight

'You got me f***ed up n****, you got me f***ed up bro,' the young student wearing a black T-shirt says throwing the basketball he was holding at his teacher

'Why you say you're gonna beat my a**? Wassup?' the student says, leaving his peers in awe and yelling 'Sheesh!' He continues to berate the teacher as he shakes his head and speaks softly in response, trying to keep his cool

'I won't, I won't,' the teacher repeats. 'Why your voice cracking, my n****? Yeah walk the f*** back

why you shaking bro?' the student says, continually taunting the teacher. After over a minute of taunting, the teacher finally breaks and upper cuts the student right in the face, causing the boy to buckle backwards

Share this article Share The student tries to throw up his hands but the teacher slams him again and an audible wham is heard in the video

He hits him so hard the student falls to the ground, but the teacher doesn't stop there

He continues to charge, walking around the entire classroom throwing punches and pummeling the boy with a cellphone in his hand

Students begin to scream and jump out of their chairs as an adult who appears to be the school resource officer runs into the room and holds back the teacher

But Riley wiggles out of her grasp and continues to go after the student. The officer holds back the boy and the teacher finally stops

Then multiple teachers run into the room to surround the child - who continues to scream expletives - as the teacher looks around the room repeating 'Who hit him? Who hit him'

The entire fight lasted about 30 seconds and the boy was only able to land one punch on the teacher

Riley was arrested at 2.30pm and was held on $50,000 bail. According to online records he was bonded out of custody

The student is believed to be unharmed and was taken to a hospital after the incident

The Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department will turn over the case to the special victims' bureau

But this isn't the first time Riley has run into trouble with his temper. Last year he was caught on video allegedly punching another student

According to his social media he's a Christian musical artist and father-of-two.  One student told KTLA that the fight was an alleged set up to provoke Riley

'Everything was planned out. There were students there who were already taking out their phones to record the incident

I don't think it's completely fair that they're just putting the blame all on (Riley), when I personally know that he's a good guy,' one student said

Another said the teacher was always kind and had a good relationship with pupils

'I had this teacher before and I had no problem with him. He was a really nice teacher, I always respected him

He always had a really good relationship with every student,' one student said. 'I was scared for the kid, and partly for the teacher too

It was just back and forth, back and forth, and then the teacher just decided to throw a punch and that's when everything happened,' one student said to CBS Los Angeles

The district is yet to release a comment on the incident.   'I'm shocked. Why did it have to escalate to this point? I think something needs to be done

That's way out of hand,' one concern parent said.
