An injury to stuttering striker Romelu Lukaku has forced Jose Mourinho to make a change for this afternoon's meeting with Bournemouth
"In training yesterday, after the press conference, he felt something that needs to be studied in the next couple of days," Mourinho told BT Sport
"So Lukaku has not come and we decided to start with Alexis." Chile international Sanchez has finally been given his opportunity to shine up front and is starting in place of Marcus Rashford who drops to the bench
And unsurprisingly, Manchester United supporters are delighted with Mourinho's decision to start Sanchez
"It's finally happened," one fan wrote. "Throw that Piano away. Please please pleas work out
"Everyone of us will eat humble pie if it doesn't work out but my God have wanted Sanchez to start front for so long
Please let this be vindicated. Cmon United #MUFC." Another said: "Happy with that United line up! Massive game for Sanchez playing up top!" "Really happy Sanchez is starting up front," a third fan commented
A fourth fan wrote: "Sanchez hatrick incoming. Chilean Sauceeee #MUFC." Manchester United will be desperate to secure three points on their visit to the south coast today
A win would see Mourinho's side move up to seventh should Watford fail to beat Newcastle
