To modify the coordinate system, we must indicate with the mouse the new location of our coordinate axis.
To modify it, just press the "space" key and it will be adjusted to that new point.
This is very useful when we want to place objects taking a wall as a reference point.
To do this, we select the point of the wall where we want to place our coordinate axis, and, as before, we type the space bar.
This new axis will serve as a starting point when inserting our objects.
Not only to place them on the reference point, but using the distances on this axis.
In this case, we place the object and, in our horizontal axis, we write the distance to which we want to place the object with respect to the initial point. We press "intro"
If we measure the space between the object and the axis point, we can see that it has been placed just at the distance we have defined previously.
We can also set our axis point on any object, for example on this table.
This will serve to take it as a reference to place objects at the distance we want and on the same axis of it.
ROTATE THE AXIS OF COORDINATES
We can rotate the coordinate axis taking as reference any inclination of an object.
In this case, we take as point a sloping wall, we stand on top and click on the "V" key. Automatically the axis will turn.
We can also place it in the object itself as we have seen before, by pressing the space key again and the rotation that we have given previously will be maintained.
From now on, all the objects that we insert will be based on that new axis of coordinates.
On the other hand, when inserting an object, we see that in one of its vertices it has a yellow point of greater thickness.
It is the point of reference for the insertion of the object. This point can be modified in order to adjust the object to our axis and to indicate the distance.
To change it, in the previous insertion of the object we press "X" until we place the point in the vertex of the object that we want to take as a reference.
