Waching daily Oct 3 2018

Welcome to our transfer news blog for Wednesday, October 3.We may be outside of the summer transfer window, but that does not stop the rumour and speculation in the Premier League

There are around three months before the January transfer window opens again in earnest and teams are already being linked with new signings

Tottenham became the first club since the transfer window system was implemented in 2003 to not make a summer signing this year, so they will be hoping to do some business come the new year

Elsewhere West Ham opened the chequebook in the summer, and despite four straight defeats at the start of the season, they have finally claimed their first points of the season, but have now beaten Manchester United and Everton and drawn with Chelsea

What's next for Paul Pogba? Will Ruben Loftus-Cheek remain a Chelsea player? What of Aaron Ramsey's Arsenal future? Here we'll guide you through the day's top transfer rumours from around the world

There are plenty of positives on the pitch but off it, majority shareholder Stan Kroenke has taken full control of the club, buying Alisher Usmanov's 30% stake of the club

Ivan Gazidis has confirmed that he will depart for AC Milan in the coming months and the Gunners have announced his replacements in the form of Raul Sanllehi and Vinai Venkatesham

The future of Aaron Ramsey is also uncertain, with the Welshman looking unlikely to agree a new deal at the Emirates Stadium after Arsenal withdrew their offer

Liverpool news: Mohamed Salah message - star's critics told he is relishing pressure - Duration: 4:17.

The Reds star was the winner of the Golden Boot last season thanks to his 32 Premier League goals and managed an impressive 44 across all competitions

He has three goals in nine matches so far this year, just one less than his total at the same stage last term, but has received widespread scrutiny for perceived underperformance

The Egyptian endured a frustrating afternoon at Stamford Bridge at the weekend as Liverpool drew 1-1 with Chelsea with Salah unable to affect the game, being substituted just after the hour mark

Klopp himself admitted Salah is not happy with his performances, insisting: "Of course not

How could he be? It's a normal situation." However, he added: "As long as he is working like he works and gets into situations that he gets in, I'm completely fine and everything will be okay

" And Wijnaldum is confident that Salah will get back to the form of his first season at Anfield as he backed him to ignore the critics

"I said to him 'Mo, it's not only one year' and he said 'You're right.' We were joking but if someone can deal with pressure, it is Mo," Wijnaldum joked

"Last season he had pressure when people were saying he had to be the top scorer of the league

We told him he couldn't let anyone catch him.  "When he was on 18 goals, he said 'In my head, I can see the 32 [Premier League goals]'

I thought 'Okay, make sure you get 32'. "Mo is not someone that is scared of pressure

He embraces the pressure. He knows that he can do it." And Dutch midfielder Wijnaldum even joked that he has challenged Salah, telling him that if he wants to be up there with Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi, who he was compared to last year, he needs to score more hat-tricks

"I've told Mo that I expect more hat-tricks this season as last year there was only one," he added

"Two is not enough now! He has to score three. He will tell you if you ask him! "He said that I was right

I told him 'Mo, you are a top player, if you look at Messi and Ronaldo, they score a lot of hat-tricks - you have to do the same if you want to compete with them

' "Now we have Mo, we are so used to him scoring goals. Maybe last season, he didn't have some good games but he always scored goals

People see that and say 'Ah, he played well'. "But now he is not scoring and people are saying he is in a difficult situation and not in good shape

I don't see it that way. "He still works hard, he still creates big chances. I think against Chelsea, he had three chances where he could score a goal

He could have given an assist to Roberto [Firmino]. I don't think it's that bad. "I don't see the difference

I think he had scored one more at this stage last season than he has this year. That's the only difference

" Salah will hope to be back on the score-sheet tonight when Liverpool take on Napoli (8pm) at the Stadio San Paolo in the Champions League group stages
