Those are the thoughts of Manchester United legend Rio Ferdinand. Martial has found himself in Mourinho's bad books on more than one occasion and returned home early from United's pre-season tour of the USA to be present for the son of his birth

The Frenchman suggested earlier in the summer he wanted to leave the Red Devils. Now, he looks likely to stay, with the transfer window closing tomorrow

And Ferdinand thinks Mourinho needs to do more to extract the best from Martial.  "Mourinho still has a great pool of players to choose from, his biggest job this season is to get the best out of players like Pogba, Marcus Rashford, Anthony Martial, to make sure they produce the goods," Ferdinand told the Daily Mail

"Rashford has stood still for the last year, Martial has gone backwards. "The art of management is getting the best out of players

"It's not just Jose, it's a combination. "But he has to be the instigator in that in the way he instills confidence in his players

"That's what you are paid big bucks for, to get the best from your players. There are no grey areas

" United kick off their Premier League campaign at home to Leicester on Friday (8pm)

Chelsea transfer news: David De Gea concern raised over Kepa Arrizabalaga deal - Duration: 4:18.

So says former Blues shot-stopper Mark Schwarzer. With Thibaut Courtois seemingly on his way to Real Madrid for around £35m, Chelsea need a new No 1 and have settled on Athletic Bilbao's Kepa Arrizabalaga

The Londoners are believed to have agreed a world-record fee with Bilbao, exercising the Spain international's release clause to make him the most expensive keeper of all time

The deal has echoes of United's £19m deal to sign an internationally-untested 20-year-old De Gea from Atletico Madrid seven years ago, albeit on a grander scale

Arrizabalaga's compatriot initially found life in England difficult and made a succession of mistakes for United before he eventually grew into his role and established himself as undisputed No 1

De Gea is now recognised as arguably the best keeper in the world having been crowned United's Player of the Year - as voted for by fans - in all of the last four seasons and has even been courted by Real Madrid in numerous summer transfer windows

But despite his inarguable talent, De Gea still struggled early on at United and Schwarzer fears Arrizabalaga could follow suit at Stamford Bridge

"No doubt there's a risk, it goes without saying," the Australian said on Sky Sports' The Debate

"[He is] Someone who has never played outside of Spain before who is going to come to the Premier League and that's a huge challenge

"You look at David De Gea, that's a great example. When he first came to England, he struggled under the pressure of playing in the Premier League, the robustness of it, the competitiveness, the physicality of it

"The big question is, can Kepa - who is not big - cope with it? It's a lot different to where he is at Bilbao

"There it's more about survival, staying in the league. Yes they try and finish in the Europa League positions but the expectations are about sustainability in La Liga

"Whereas at Chelsea it's all about winning, every game you play in, every competition you enter in

"They're expected to win every trophy that's up for grabs from day one. That is pressure is from day one, the minute you walk through the door

" Premier League veteran Schwarzer - who made just four top-flight appearances in two seasons at Chelsea - also believes there is uncertainty as to whether Arrizabalaga will fit into Maurizio Sarri's possession-orientated style of play

Schwarzer added: "Bilbao are going almost at times route one football, it's about trying to get the best out of the group of players that they have

At Chelsea, now, it's about dictating play.  "They're expected to have the ball for high percentage of games the vast majority of their games

"It's a different pressure now. It's about playing out of the back. Sarri wants to start playing from the goalkeeper

"All phases of play in training have been that way. It all starts that way. It's a new challenge for him in his career

" Chelsea start their Premier League season away to Huddersfield Town on Saturday (3pm)
