Waching daily Oct 2 2018

Manchester United forward Sanchez signed from Arsenal in January, snubbing a move to Manchester City in favour of Old Trafford

He has since, however, failed to show his best form, managing just three goals for the club so far

Sanchez's future at Manchester United is now in severe doubt with reports claiming Jose Mourinho is ready to flog him in January should he find a suitable buyer

And the Sun say the 29-year-old has been talking with Mourinho about his current plight

At Arsenal, Sanchez was among the Premier League's best performers. But with just three goals since his Emirates exit, his United career is yet to achieve lift-off

The Sun say Sanchez told Mourinho he was fed up with his lack of game time. Mourinho has repeatedly hooked the Chile international this season with minutes of matches to spare

Sanchez failed to even make the United bench for their 3-1 thumping to West Ham on Saturday

And he has supposedly told Mourinho, and his team-mates, he is sick of being substituted so frequently

He also feels United's current set-up does not suit him. Yet whether Mourinho throws him into the mix for tonight's match with Valencia remains to be seen

Meanwhile, Paul Ince thinks Sanchez will be regretting his decision to leave Arsenal

He told Paddy Power: "When Alexis Sanchez first went to Manchester United, it was obvious he was going to a team that doesn't suit the way he plays

"The style of play is completely different. "Alexis Sanchez will regret not going to Manchester City

"If he'd gone there, it would have been the absolute best move for him."

Man Utd news: Why Zinedine Zidane would NOT want Jose Mourinho's job - Lowe - Duration: 2:52.

Zidane is the favourite to replace Jose Mourinho at Manchester United if the Portuguese was to lose his job

United are 10th in the Premier League table after seven games and were dumped out of the Carabao Cup by Championship side Derby

Reports claim Zidane rang Mourinho to tell him he was not hunting down his job, something Mourinho has not denied

And Lowe claims the former France international wants to be seen doing things the right way in his search for a new job

"Zidane is very careful to be seen to do the right thing," he told ESPN FC. "I'm not entirely convinced he wants the Manchester United job and certainly doesn't want it in a scenario in which he would be seen having instigated the move for that

" Zidane left his role as Real Madrid boss at the end of last season after winning three successive Champions Leagues

Lowe claims the 46-year-old would prefer to take his new job between seasons but says turning down United would be a tough decision

"I don't believe he is in a position where he wants to force any kind of issue in terms of his next job," he continued

"Honestly, I don't know (if he would take the job). Honestly, of course we all know it will be very difficult to turn down Manchester United

"Beyond the fact it's a huge club, beyond the fact there is some players there who are very, very good indeed and maybe he can do something with it

"I also think he will look at that squad and see some of those problems Jose Mourinho's had

"We need to perhaps broaden the perspective a bit and it's not just about Mourinho, and Zidane will be very well aware of the floors within that squad as well

"Does he want it? I honestly can't give you an answer to that. "My feeling is that the way this his departure from Real Madrid was done, my feeling is his preference would be to get his new job in the summer, rather than now

"But if Man United call you up it's very difficult to say no." United are back in action this evening when they host Valencia in the Champions League

Can Fake News Believers Be Saved? - Duration: 4:37.

Let's go to Twitter now for some questions.

If you have a question that you want to send to us here at Ring of Fire, send it using

the #askrof.

Our first question tonight comes from Rough Wanderer who asks, "@farronbalanced, big fan

of your commentary.

Start my day listening to you."

Thank you very much, appreciate it.

"One question, how can I convince my conservative and moderate friends and family to believe

your news reporting and other independent news sources?

I try explaining, but massive uphill battle."

One of the things that we do at Ring of Fire is we make sure that every single video that

we do has a source link, so that people can go back for themselves, verify it, make sure

that we didn't take something out of context.

That's one thing that we personally do to make sure that everybody understands that

we're not just making this up.

Now obviously, some people say, "How do we know that that source didn't make things up?"

Usually, if you're using a good source, they have other sources.

Then, of course, you run into the question, how do we know they're not making stuff up?

Some people, and I almost hate to say this.

Some people are unreachable.

They really are.

There are some people that are unfortunately too far gone that no matter what kinds of

facts, figures, statistics you put in front of them, they're not going to believe them.

If you think I'm wrong about that, then just look at the issue of climate change.

We have all of the scientific data available telling us that this is happening, and that

human beings are making it worse, yet in spite of all that information you still have too

many people in this country willing to say, "You know what, I don't believe that.

I don't believe those scientists.

They're just in it for themselves trying to make a quick buck off the planet," as if that

makes any kind of sense.

Yes, there are some that are unreachable.

For the people that are reachable, expand their horizons for them.

Help them.

If they don't want to go out and actively seek these independent news outlets and independent

reporting, give it to them.

Send them a link every now and then.

The main sources of news that I use are Raw Story, Common Dreams, Truth Out and Think

Progress, reliable, reputable, haven't ever given me a reason to not believe what they

have to say.

Now there's plenty of others.

There's lots that I use every day, but those are my four go to.

My fingers almost instinctively start typing in those addresses when I get on the computer,

but it is difficult.

I understand your dilemma here.

My in-laws, very hardcore, right-wing, anti-Democrat Republicans.

I throw in the anti-Democrat because there is a difference between just being like, "No,

I'm a Republican," and being an anti-Democrat Republican.

You don't reach people like that, you can't.

You won't change their mind.

There's not much you can do because there is too much tribalism.

Now to be honest, there's plenty of those on the left as well.

How do you walk that fine line?

You do research, but if people aren't willing to do the research themselves, then there's

not much you can do.

The old expression, "You could lead a horse to water, but you can't make him drink."

It's kind of what it is right now with the information age.

Everything you could ever possibly want to know is available online.

It just depends on which parts of the internet you're looking at.

If you're going to Daily Caller, or Breitbart, or Zero Hedge, you're not going to get accurate

news, but people are going to believe what they read there.

If you go to left-leaning sites, you're going to get a lot more truth than you would from

somewhere else, but it is going to have a liberal slant, which is immediately going

to turn off those anti-Democrat Republicans.

Sometimes it's best to not worry about it.

You can do what you can do.

You can share these stories.

You can get them out there.

You can send links.

You can back it up with research, but if they choose to not accept it at that point, then

you may be fighting an uphill battle that actually has no end.

Your time would be better served trying to reach people who want to learn.

That's the difference.

They have to want it because if they don't, not much you can do in that situation.
