ARSENAL boss Unai Emery has spoken about the club's latest ongoing contract saga.

Emery was quizzed on Aaron Ramsey's future after the Gunners beat Chelsea on penalties

in Dublin last night.

The Welshman has less than 12 months to run on his current deal at the Emirates.

Ramsey has yet to put pen to paper despite being offered a five-year deal worth significantly

more than his current £110,000-a-week wage packet.

Having seen various players leave the club for free over the years, Arsenal fans are

growing concerned that history is repeating itself.

Jack Wilshere became the latest homegrown star to quit the club, moving across London

to West Ham earlier this summer.

And Emery said little to quell the fears of supporters when he spoke after the 1-1 draw

with the Blues.

"I don't know," the former Paris St-Germain boss said when specifically asked how the

contract talks with Ramsey were progressing.

"This is one question for the club and for the player.

"I am very, very concentrated and my focus is thinking every day for the training, for

the players.

"I am focused for the match on Saturday against Lazio and then starting against Man

City.

"Ramsey's with us.

The contract is a question for the club and for the player."

The former Cardiff midfielder played no part in last night's game as Arsenal signed off

their International Champions Cup campaign.

Emery revealed that Ramsey was not feeling 100 per cent fit so decided not to play him

in the friendly match in the Irish capital.

"He has got a little pain in his muscle and we decided not to start him because it

is maybe a big risk for him," he added.

"But I am awaiting the medical analysis and I think it's not a big problem."

 Mina, 23, is said to prefer a move to the Premier League ahead of the English deadline next Thursday

 But Barcelona's self-imposed deadline may hamper a deal. This follows reports that United chief Matt Judge has flown to Barcelona to tie up a £35m deal

 United have made just three signings so far with the arrivals of Lee Grant, Diogo Dalot and Fred failing to satisfy Jose Mourinho

 The Portuguese remains in the hunt for a defender and winger but believes he will only get one

 "I am confident I will get one [new player], but I think two I am not going to get - which is not a drama," he told beIN Sports

 "In every pre-season it happens the same, with every club, which is that the manager wants more

 "It's our nature, you always want more for your team, but then club decisions are different and normally you don't get what you want, which happened during all my career

 "So, if I get one player until the end of the market, that's fine."  United have been priced out of moves for Maguire and Alderweireld in their bid to add defensively and Mourinho has been told to sell to accommodate any new signings

 Marcos Rojo could move to Everton as Marco Silva faces the prospect of missing out on Mina

 Modric emerged as a surprise transfer target of Serie A giants Inter earlier this week

 The midfielder, named Player of the Tournament at the World Cup this summer, is a key member of Real Madrid's side

 But with Julen Lopetegui now in charge at the Bernabeu, Croatia star Modric appears keen to jump ship

 And fresh revelations in Italy have detailed how a proposed move to Inter Milan has come about

 According to Gazzetta dello Sport, it was Modric's wife who called Inter asking if they would be keen on a deal

 "Do you want Modric?" was the supposed direct question from Vanja Bosnic. Inter, who are closing in on a deal to sign Arturo Vidal from Bayern Munich, immediately confirmed they would be interested

 The phone call has since set in motion plans from the player's camp to work out a deal to Inter

Modric wage demands Gazzetta claim Modric would want a contract that at least matches the £8

9m (€10m) net wages left on the two years of his current Real Madrid deal. The equates roughly to a contract of £150,000 a week in Milan

 However, Inter are not flush with cash and for financial fair play reasons would likely make a loan offer for Modric, with the agreement to make the deal permanent next summer

Vidal on hold Gazzetta add that while Inter now work on a move for Modric, their push to sign Vidal is on hold

 The midfielder was all set to join the San Siro club after his agent Fernando Felicevich was spotted in Milan

 Bayern are happy to offload Chilean Vidal, who left Juventus for Germany in 2015

 But Modric is now Inter's focus, with work underway with his wife Bosnic to get a deal done before the transfer window closes
