A forward theory was proposed as to why Liverpool was linked to the Domogoj Vida of Besiktas.

Liverpool's coach, Jurgen Klopp, was forced to make Vida sign the fifth summer contract

after the impressive World Cup campaign of Croatia.

The Besiktas defender was marked when his country came to the finals, where they were

defeated by Didier Deschamps 4-2 France early this month.

Liverpool have been tipped to raid Besiktas for Vida, having already splashed out on Naby

Keita, Fabinho, Xherdan Shaqiri and Alisson Becker.

But Liverpool Echo claimed that such claims were built to suit Besiktas.

It is said that the Turkish giants can use red demons to create more attention to the

Vida after his great World Cup.

Despite the link, but understand that Klopp will not sign a contract with Vida.

Vida's agent recently claimed Liverpool was bidding for his men, with Ugur Avadan say:

"It is normal to get attention to what is important is to provide Besiktas response

and then Vida.

"Liverpool and Everton were great clubs offered.

Barcelona was searching for the Vida and brought him to their shortened list but I didn't see

a move that would happen.

"Atletico Madrid and Sevilla are also interested in Spain.

"

However, Anfield will not be his next destination.

Everton could move to Vida although pursuing a contract with central defender Barcelona,

Yerry Mina, who was also asked by Manchester United.

However, it seems Barcelona chose to apply the same stance to Liverpool.

The Catalan giants do not need a 29-year-old player who has contracted Clemence Lenglet

from Sevilla.

Besiktas may also lose Pepe this summer.

The old star of Real Madrid has been associated with Wolves when the new Premier League Boys

target a successful season back in the top flight.

— An explosive wildfire tore through two small.  The Carr Fire inferno, stoked by dry air and whipping winds, turned the town into a baked moonscape where whole blocks of homes and rows of cars became ash

Cal Fire Chief Brett Gouvea called the wildfire in the enclave of 90,000 in north central Shasta County "extremely dangerous and moving with no regard to what's in its path" in a published report

And the flame-fueling conditions will continue until tomorrow morning, according to the National Weather Service

The fire erupted on July 23 when a vehicle burst into flames, which vaulted over the Sacramento River and spread to Redding and the nearby towns of Igo, Ono and Gaspoint about 250 miles north of San Francisco

Experts say it's among the biggest blazes in state history.  Some 38,000 people have been evacuated, and the state fire agency said the outbreak is only 5 percent contained

"This fire is a long way from done," said one official.  The devastation covers an area the size of Philadelphia, and the fire has claimed the lives of Fire Inspector Jeremy Stoke, along with another smoke eater whose name has not been released

Nine civilians had been reported missing, including a woman and her great-great grandchildren, who were found dead, according to CBS Sacramento

Man Utd transfer news LIVE updates: Follow below for the latestSaturday 28 July United board stopped deal Manchester United's board have stopped Jose Mourinho from signing Juventus ace Alex Sandro

The Telegraph claim Mourinho wanted the Brazil international to touch down from Juventus

But the Red Devils board supposedly opted against a deal. Instead, they told Mourinho he can sign Sandro - but only if he trims his squad first

Manchester United have too many defenders on the books with one of Chris Smalling, Phil Jones, Eric Bailly, Victor Lindelof and Marcos Rojo primed to leave

Mina eyed Man Utd have contacted Barcelona over a move for Yerry Mina, according to respected journalist Tancredi Palmeri

Jose Mourinho has cut a glum figure this week as he attempts to strengthen last season's Premier League runners-up

United have already signed Fred, Diogo Dalot and Lee Grant this summer but the Portuguese coach wants Ed Woodward to continue spending to ensure his side keep up with the league's big hitters

And according to Palmeri, the club's hierarchy are making moves, starting with talks for Colombian star Mina

The Italian simply tweeted: "Manchester United have contacted Barcelona for Yerry Mina

"  Willian deal on Manchester United have had a £66million bid for Chelsea star Willian accepted, according to reports in Italy

United have been linked with the Brazilian all summer, with the player earmarked as an alternative to Real Madrid's Gareth Bale

Italian newspaper Tuttosport say United have had a £66m bid accepted and the player is set to be Mourinho's fourth signing of the summer

It is claimed the bid also consists of numerous add-ons and clauses while the report adds that United may also swoop for Chelsea centre-back Gary Cahill

Borthwick-Jackson done deal Scunthorpe United have signed Manchester United defender Cameron Borthwick-Jackson on a season-long loan

The 21-year-old made his senior debut for the Red Devils in November 2015 but has failed to push on

Borthwick-Jackson has since had loan spells at Wolves and Leeds United but is under contract until 2020

Martial wants to leave Manchester United but they have put a £70million price tag on him

They haven't made a formal offer. "Bayern Munich will only make a move if Man United lower their asking price

"  Maguire denial Harry Maguire's potential move to Manchester United has continued to gather pace but reports of the Leicester star wanting to join the Red Devils are wide of the mark, according to sources close to the defender

Maguire has emerged as Manchester United's top summer target after starring for England at the 2018 World Cup

And reports emerged last night suggesting Maguire had indicated a desire to move to Old Trafford

However, the 25-year-old's representatives have refuted those claims. Speaking to Express Sport, a source said: "Maguire and his representatives have made no comment so far on wanting to join Manchester United

" Darmian exit Man Utd right-back Matteo Darmian says he has told Jose Mourinho he wants to leave Old Trafford

"I want to play more regularly. Last season, I didn't play much, that's my objective and my ambition," Darmian said

"That's why I spoke with the manager and also with the club about my future. I want to leave but we will see what happens because we don't know

"  Rojo to Wolves Marcos Rojo is closing in on a move to Wolves, according to ESPN

The Argentine is surplus to requirements at Old Trafford with Harry Maguire lined up to replace him

The 28-year-old signed a new deal to keep him at United until 2022 in March but Wolves are favourites to sign him

Spurs blow Tottenham have been told they are wasting their time trying to sign Anthony Martial this summer

The Manchester Evening News say that although Jose Mourinho is ready to sanction Martial's sale, United will only sell him to a foreign club

The report says executive vice chairman Ed Woodward wants to keep Martial and trigger a 12-month extension in his contract
