Welcome to Numismat Banknotes and Coins

Today we have the Mexican Republic 8 Reales coin of 1838

Of the first coins that were used in Mexico, the 8 reales coin, was without a doubt, a milestone in Mexico and around the world

Even after Mexico achieved its independence, this type of currency was continued coining in the same denominations although with different design.

On the back a radiant Phrygian cap in the center with the word "Freedom"

It was in a decree of 1823 that the design change was ordered For the new currencies that would be used in the independent México.

The Phrygian cap is a symbol used throughout the world although its origin is controversial because it is said that it was confused with the pileus cap the freed slaves used in Rome.

Look at that, what a beauty

In the lower part, in the exergue, we have several useful data to identify various characteristics of the currency that are very valuable

The first data indicates the denomination, because these coins, like their predecessors, were minted in ¼, ½, 1, 2, 4 and 8 reals like ours.

Then the mark of the mint that coined this piece, in this case Guanajuato.

The following figure is the year of issue. In this case 1832

Then the initials of the assayers appear, which were those responsible for the fineness of the silver in the coin

Remember that pure silver has 12 "dineros" and each "dinero" contains 24 "grains" and this is equivalent to a fineness of .999 in the decimal system

The last data tells us exactly the purity of the silver for this coin, in this case, 10 "dineros" and 20 "grains", equivalent to a fineness of .902

For the obverse was agreed a common design with the Mexican coat of arms, the eagle on a "nopal" devouring a snake

It is very well detailed, each part of the nopal, the thorns and each one of its shoots looks magnificent

What beautiful details of the branches of oak and laurel linked by a ribbon, symbolizing the strength and victory of those who have forged the Mexican homeland

When we see in detail the Mexican national shield we can realize that it is full of symbols and its design is very beautiful

What a beauty

In the upper part above the majestic eagle we see the legend Mexican Republic

This coin with Guanajuato mint in good condition can be find at a price around $ 150 dollars or $ 3,000 Mexican pesos.

Here we can see the detail of the design of the edge which resembles a branch with leaves on each side, security measure that avoided mutilations and filings

What a beauty

As an extra bonus, I present the three coins that accompany us today

The Mexican coin of $ 100 pesos from the state of Tlaxcala with silver center looks great

N$ 50 New Pesos of 1993, with silver center, a must in the collection, wow!

Proof replica of Maximiliano's Peso, a true beauty, look at that

Undoubtedly, each coin hides a great story that enriches us by unraveling it

The Mexican Republic 8 Real coin is without a doubt, a jewel of Numismatics and the History of Mexico

Review Coolors | Crea paletas de color fácil y rápido - Duration: 4:36.

Hi guys, welcome back to my channel

Today I want to share with you this cute tool

named

Coolors

and it's basically to make colour palettes.

I liked it because it's really simple.

Here you'll find a small tutorial

of how to use it.

You can adjust some

basic settings. That I haven't tried.

But this is the tool I liked the most

because with this tool you can pick a picture

and choose the colour palette.

You can even choose an image

in any other page, and I'll choose...

this art of Berie

who is one of my characters...

I'm gonna open it...

to get the direct link

of the .jpg to Coolors.

and from there...

Coolors will generate

a preview image

of the suggested colour palette.

Down there, is an option for

you colour picking.

And from there you can

generate it randomly or choosing one by one

the colours you want.

You only have to select the next colour

and move your mouse to the choosen colour

and so

until you get

the colour palette

you like.

I'm gonna leave this one... like this.

If I liked it, I can click the OK button

Or I can generate a collage.

What this option does is

generate a .png file

that I can check on my downloads.

And it's the same picture

with all the colours and the hexadecimals

so I can use them wherever I want.

So, this is very useful

specially if you have to work

with web design, but I'll press the OK button.

And now my palette is here

in the main section.

I can move the swatches

and organise them.

I can also edit Saturation...

Hue...

Brightness...

and get my colours personalised.

I can also choose if I want it on RGB,

CMYK, etc.

I can also pick the shade,

If I want a lighter

or darker colour. More white or black tint.

In this case

I will leave it a bit darker.

And it's done!

I'm comfortable with it, so

the last option is to save my palette.

I'm gonna choose to save it,

name the... palette... and click Save.

And now it's saved on my palettes.

That's all for today. I hope it's useful.

I think it's a simple and beautiful tool

easy to use

I literally created my account

and started to use it in about 10 minutes

so for those of you who want to draw

or do some character design

and have no clue on how to choose a good colour palette

which is something I still struggle with

this is a very nice tool. I really recommend it.

Thanks for watching and I'll see you soon.

Bye bye!
