Robert Mueller Just Got Smacked With His Worst News Yet - Duration: 10:46.

Robert Mueller Just Got Smacked With His Worst News Yet

Since beginning his witch hunt against President Trump a year ago, Robert Mueller has faced

ups and downs.

But as time has gone by, he's released virtually no evidence against the President.

And Robert Mueller just got smacked with his worst news yet.

A new poll released by NPR shows that Robert Mueller's approval rating has been continually

dropping.

The latest poll shows his approval rating has had a net-negative swing of 11 points

over the last month, with only 32 percent of Americans holding a favorable view of Mueller.

Even amongst Democrats, his approval is lower than expected in such a partisan investigation,

being only 56 percent.

This continuing drop in approval can likely be connected directly to the fact that very

little substantial evidence has come from the investigation.

The special counsel has become so desperate that they raided the home and office of Trump's

personal lawyer, Michael Cohen.

Mistrust in Mueller is also a likely cause in an 18-point increase in Americans who believe

that the FBI is biased against President Trump.

As reported by NPR:

"REPUBLICANS AND DEMOCRATS ARE DEEPLY DIVIDED ON HOW THEY SEE SPECIAL COUNSEL ROBERT MUELLER

AND HIS INVESTIGATION INTO RUSSIAN INTERFERENCE IN THE 2016 ELECTION AND POSSIBLE TIES TO

PRESIDENT TRUMP'S CAMPAIGN, ACCORDING TO A NEW NPR/PBS NEWSHOUR/MARIST POLL.

OVERALL, THE FORMER FBI DIRECTOR'S FAVORABILITY RATINGS HAVE DROPPED OVER THE PAST MONTH AS

TRUMP AND OTHER REPUBLICANS HAVE RATCHETED UP THEIR ATTACKS ON MUELLER AND HIS ONGOING

PROBE.

THERE'S BEEN A NET-NEGATIVE SWING OF 11 POINTS OVER THE PAST MONTH, WITH 32 PERCENT

OF ALL AMERICANS HOLDING A FAVORABLE VIEW TOWARD MUELLER, 30 PERCENT VIEWING HIM UNFAVORABLY,

AND A 38 PERCENT PLURALITY STILL NOT KNOWING ENOUGH TO HAVE AN OPINION.

AMONG DEMOCRATS, THOUGH, MUELLER'S FAVORABILITY IS AT 56 PERCENT, WITH JUST 19 PERCENT VIEWING

HIM UNFAVORABLY AND A QUARTER UNSURE.

BUT NEARLY HALF OF ALL REPUBLICANS HOLD AN UNFAVORABLE VIEW OF THE JUSTICE DEPARTMENT

SPECIAL COUNSEL — UP FROM 30 PERCENT LAST MONTH — WITH ONLY 16 PERCENT VIEWING HIM

FAVORABLY AND ANOTHER 35 PERCENT UNDECIDED.

INDEPENDENTS, MEANWHILE, ARE MORE MIXED — 35 PERCENT VIEW MUELLER FAVORABLY, SIMILAR TO

MARCH.

BUT 30 PERCENT OF INDEPENDENTS VIEW HIM UNFAVORABLY, UP 9 POINTS, AND 34 PERCENT AREN'T SURE

OR DON'T KNOW ENOUGH ABOUT HIM."

"THERE HAVE ALSO BEEN BIG CHANGES IN HOW THE PUBLIC VIEWS THE FBI — DRIVEN BY A SURGE

IN REPUBLICAN DISTRUST, THE POLL SHOWS.

THE NEW NUMBERS COME JUST AS FORMER FBI DIRECTOR JAMES COMEY, WHO WAS FIRED LAST YEAR BY TRUMP,

IS RELEASING HIS EXPLOSIVE NEW MEMOIR AND GIVING SEVERAL MEDIA INTERVIEWS, INCLUDING

ONE TO NPR.

OVERALL, THERE'S BEEN AN 18-POINT INCREASE IN AMERICANS WHO BELIEVE THE FBI IS BIASED

AGAINST TRUMP IN THE PAST TWO MONTHS.

THIS MONTH, 61 PERCENT SAID THAT THE FBI WAS JUST TRYING TO DO ITS JOB WHILE 31 PERCENT

SAID THEY BELIEVED THE NATION'S CHIEF LAW ENFORCEMENT ARM WAS BIASED AGAINST THE TRUMP

ADMINISTRATION.

BACK IN FEBRUARY, 71 PERCENT OF AMERICANS POLLED SAID THEY BELIEVED THE FBI WAS ACTING

WITHIN ITS BOUNDS, WHILE 23 PERCENT THOUGHT THE AGENCY WAS BIASED AGAINST THE GOP WHITE

HOUSE."

It is clear that the American people aren't buying the Russia collusion narrative coming

from Special Counsel Robert Mueller.

This newly released polling is just more proof of that.

Arsenal transfer news : Mesut Ozil persuades Jack Wilshere to make Fenerbahce move ● News Now ● #AFC - Duration: 2:03.

Mesut Ozil has reportedly played a role in convincing Jack Wilshere that his future lies

with Turkish side Fenerbahce.

Wilshere is officially a free agent after his contract with Arsenal expired today.

It ends a 17-year association with Gunners and the start of a search for a new club with

first-team football and while Wilshere has been linked with Crystal Palace and West Ham,

it appears a move to Fenerbahce is close.

And Turkish outlet Sporx claim Wilshere willingness to consider a move to Turkey stems from a

talk with Ozil.

The report says Ozil told Wilshere: "Fenerbahce is a great team [and] the fans are spectacular.

"Turkey is very beautiful and a modern country."

It is claimed Wilshere has said yes to a four-year deal from Fenerbahce and an announcement is

expected.

In an interview with Sky Sports yesterday, Wilshere expressed his openness about playing

abroad.

"I am willing to go abroad if the right opportunity comes up," he said.

"Also, everyone knows I like the Premier League and the battle of it.

"It is literally the best thing that comes up and the best opportunity that we will take.

"I am not really in any rush, today [Saturday] is actually my last day with my contract at

Arsenal, so it's been a bit of a strange day.

"I have played 10 years as a professional there and had 17 years at the club.

"We are looking at things and I am keeping myself fit.

So if something does come up I am ready to go."

Chris Matthews: Capital Gazette reporters weren't reporting 'fake news' - Duration: 2:57.

Chris Matthews: Capital Gazette reporters weren't reporting 'fake news'

MSNBC host Chris Matthews defended the local reporters who worked at a Maryland newspaper that was attacked this week in a deadly shooting, saying they were not reporting "fake news.

In a monologue closing out his show Friday, Matthews praised the five members of the Capital Gazette newsroom who died when a gunman attacked the office with a pump-action shotgun.

"Let me finish tonight with a word about what happened yesterday in Annapolis.

The Capital Gazette newspaper reporters that were killed in the line of duty died doing what they committed their lives to — getting the news to their readers," Matthews said.

"They weren't reporting fake news," he added.

"Deadline reporting isn't grand or necessarily overly eloquent, it's about getting the news into print accurately and before anyone else does.".

Matthews also echoed remarks from Capital Gazette reporter E.B.

Furgurson, who was nearby when the shooting happened and told NBCthat his friends were killed simply for "doing their bit for local journalism.".

"I like how one of the surviving reporters from the Gazette put it on MSNBC earlier today.

He said his colleagues that were shot were simply doing their bit," Matthews said.

"The people who get careers getting stories on the front page are into news, breaking news, hard news, there's a joy in that job beating the round-the-clock pressure, landing what you've come up with on the front page, breaking the story.

Anne Arundel County police say the suspect in Thursday's shooting, 38-year-old Jarrod Ramos, had a longstanding "vendetta" against the newspaper and its reporters following their reporting on his conviction for criminal harassment in 2013.

Ramos is charged with five counts of first-degree murder for the deadly attack, and currently sits in police custody awaiting trial.

Breaking News - Japan boss Akira Nishino hopes fresher legs will give them the edge - Duration: 3:47.

Japan coach Akira Nishino hopes his gamble of resting players in their previous game against Poland will bear fruit on Monday against Belgium when his side will be bidding to make it third time lucky and reach the quarter-finals

'We have been here twice in the past in round of 16 but this is different, we haven't exhausted ourselves yet so we can create a new opportunity,' Nishino told a news conference on Sunday

'The players and coaching staff would like to create something big tomorrow.' Nishino risked his side exiting the competition by making a remarkable six changes from his line-up from the 2-2 draw with Senegal for their final Group H match against Poland which they lost 1-0, sneaking through due only to their superior disciplinary record over Senegal

Nishino also attracted criticism back in Japan for his negative tactics during the defeat to Poland, when he was seen ordering his players to pass the ball around in their own half in the final minutes even though they were losing

But he stressed the importance of having fresher legs when they come up against the highly fancied Belgians, referencing his nation's two previous last-16 exits in the World Cup to Turkey in 2002 and Paraguay in 2010, when they lost 1-0 and on penalties respectively

'In those games our players were exhausted, they had nothing left, they had left everything in the group stage

This is our third time in the last 16 and we have been very tactical in our approach,' Nishino said

'Now we can be more aggressive, we have the spirit and mentality to win and I think we can match Belgium mentally

The game is a huge challenge, Belgium are a formidable foe, they are among the top three in the world so we have to think hard about how we attack them as we are ranked 61st

' Belgium coach Roberto Martinez said Nishino's negative tactics against Poland showed he had a ruthless edge

'When you are in the World Cup it's about achieving your aim so it's not something to criticise; the opposite

I think it shows that Japan are really competitive and try to do whatever it takes to win,' he said

'This is a group of players who know what they are doing on the pitch, so I expect a very, very difficult game, one where we will have to concentrate at all times because they are capable of creating problems due to that dynamic approach they have

Breaking News - Mertesacker meets players as he begins role as Gunners academy boss - Duration: 3:02.

Per Mertesacker has begun his new journey within football as the Arsenal academy manager after meeting with the club's youth players and their families on Sunday

It was announced at the end of last season that Mertesacker would take over at the helm of the club's youth set up following one last season with the Gunners first team

The 33-year-old - a World Cup winner who enjoyed eight full seasons with the Arsenal first team - spent much of this past season getting to know the ins and outs of his new role, making only 12 appearances in all competitions

Mertesacker will now put what he has learned in his final season as an Arsenal player to good use as he looks ahead to his first season as a coach as he met with the club's budding young professionals at their training ground

He wrote on Twitter: 'Today I met every Arsenal Academy player and their families

We have big things planned for this Academy and I can't wait for the new season! #ArsenalAcademy #wearethearsenal'

He is a player that is held in high regard with Arsenal, especially by his now former manager Arsene Wenger

'Per is an exceptional character who is a great example for young players,' Wenger said at the time of his appointment last July

'He is a deep thinker about the game and committed to helping players fulfil their potential

'He will be an inspirational figure for everyone connected with the academy.' The German defender, who joined the Gunners from Bundesliga side Werder Bremen in 2011, has spent the past few seasons as one of the more experienced players at the Emirates Stadium

During his time as a player for the north London side, Mertesacker won three FA Cups and two Community Shields
