Some private schools in Florida are using taxpayer-sponsored scholarships to teach kids that humans and dinosaurs once walked the Earth side by side

These lessons are taught from the pages of three Christian publishing companies that specialize in school books with a heavy religious angle, often in conflict with factual history and widely accepted science

Many teachers peddling the information laid out in these textbooks support it. "We believe our way is correct," Downey Christian School in east Orange County, Fla

director, Tim Dees, told the Sentinel. "We focus on creationism because that's what we believe

" And the states, for the most part, do little to nothing to regulate or keep track of what private schools teach their students
