Mesut Ozil is Arsenal's best-paid player - but new manager Unai Emery isn't sure

about the Germany star.

Ozil signed a mega new contract at the Emirates earlier this year.

He looked set to depart the club on a free transfer before a late change of heart saw

him sign a mega new deal worth around £350,000-a-week.

Ozil is now tied to the club until 2021.

But there could a problem on the horizon as it's claimed new Arsenal chief Emery is

not a huge fan of the midfield maestro.

Spanish journalist Kike Marin wrote on Twitter: "Ozil, which in the absence of offers in

February renewed with the #Arsenal until 2021, is the player that most worries Emery.

No one doubts his talent, but his commitment to a team that will require maximum involvement.

Quite a challenge for Unai."

Ozil has drawn a mixed bag of opinions since moving to Arsenal from Real Madrid for a then-club

record £42.5m in 2013.

He's been slated for his lack of work off the ball but hailed for his impressive style

when in possession.

Following Arsenal's Europa League semi-final defeat to Atletico Madrid last month, former

Gunner Martin Keown laid into the 29-year-old."He wasn't fit to wear the shirt for me tonight,

and I have seen this a lot this season.

"I haven't been happy with him for some time.

It seems as though he picks and chooses his games.

He was on the edge of things.

"That is not a proper performance.

He isn't giving everything and there is a lot more under the bonnet.

We expect better from him.

He is a World Cup winner."

Emery will have the chance to take a look at Ozil this summer when he plays for Germany

at the World Cup.
