BREAKING NEWS Out Of NASCAR…
They Just Put The NFL To SHAME In contrast to the scumbags in the NFL who
refuse to pay respect to our country, the military, law enforcement and America in general,
the "Star-Spangled Banner" is never protested by members of the NASCAR community at ANY
of their events.
When you watch NASCAR you will NOT see any one taking a knee or wearing anti police socks
or shirts.
You will see smiling, proud Americans who love their country and they show their respect
%100 of the time.
Several team owners issued a strict warning to their drivers and crew members in the wake
of both comments by President Trump and the protests by NFL players.
Team owner Richard Petty, the NASCAR icon who won a record-tying seven championships
as a driver, said he would fire any employee that didn't stand for the anthem.
"Anybody that don't stand up for that ought to be out of the country.
Period," Petty said.
"If they don't appreciate where they're at … what got them where they're at?
The United States."
Additionally, longtime owner Richard Childress said that any driver or crew member protest
will "get [them] a ride on a Greyhound bus."
"Anybody that works for me should respect the country we live in.
So many people gave our lives for it.
This is America," Childress said.
An executive at Team Penske told USA Today that they currently have "no policy" on
the issue because it has never come up for them.
To this day, most NASCAR races still start with an invocation from a local preacher,
a rendition of the "Star-Spangled Banner" and often a flyover from a local military
installation, Fox News reports.
Both Petty and NASCAR CEO Brian France endorsed Trump in 2016.
Also, NASCAR stands with the NRA.
NASCAR is standing firm with the National Rifle Association as more than a dozen companies
cut ties with the organization in the wake of the Florida school shooting.
FOX News reports that Bristol Motor Speedway in Bristol, Tenn. announced it would be keeping
the NRA as a co-sponsor of its annual "night race."
The 0.533-mile track, a few miles south of the Virginia state line, hosts two NASCAR
races per year in addition to several other events.
"This has been a good, long-standing partnership and we plan to continue," speedway management
said in a statement to USA Today.
In a 2015 press release announcing the sponsorship, Bristol Motor Speedway executive vice president
and general manager Jerry Caldwell touted the agreement as a "well-suited partnership"
because the three entities involved — Bass Pro Shops, the NRA and NASCAR — share the
same customers.
NASCAR team owner Richard Childress, who is now the first vice president of the NRA, also
described the sponsorship as a strong match.
"Racing fans and NRA members treasure their freedom and outdoor heritage, and the Night
Race is where we go to celebrate that love of freedom, love of the shooting sports, and
love of the great outdoors," Childress said in a statement at the time.
NRA First Vice President Richard Childress is also a NASCAR team owner and former driver.
NASCAR previously drew criticism for allowing the NRA to sponsor a Cup race at Texas Motor
Speedway in 2013, just four months after the mass shooting in Newtown, Conn.
I'll admit that I have boycotted the NFL ever since that Muslim cop hater Colin Kaepernick
sat on the bench like an entitled little punk but I cheated because I did watch the Superbowl
which I was required to so I could report on the halftime show…
Ok, I watched the fricking game because my Patriots were playing!
But I refused to watch any other games as a part of my personal boycott.
This year I am boycotting 100%- PERIOD.
SCREW THOSE OVERPAID A HOLES.That post garnered over 72,000 shares and was featured in an
article on FOX NEWS as well as many other large news outlets.
The reports were not always flattering but we tell it like it is and if they don't
like it, they can screw themselves.
It's probably on Snopes- they have disputed a lot of the articles I wrote on Americas
Freedom Fighters.
The specific rule pertaining to the national anthem is found on pages A62-63 of the NFL
League Rulebook.
It states:
"The National Anthem must be played prior to every NFL game, and all players must be
on the sideline for the National Anthem.
"During the National Anthem, players on the field and bench area should stand at attention,
face the flag, hold helmets in their left hand, and refrain from talking.
The home team should ensure that the American flag is in good condition.
It should be pointed out to players and coaches that we continue to be judged by the public
in this area of respect for the flag and our country.
Failure to be on the field by the start of the National Anthem may result in discipline,
such as fines, suspensions, and/or the forfeiture of draft choice(s) for violations of the above,
including first offenses.
What they are doing is against public law 105-225 signed into law August 12, 1998.
Title 36 US Code 301 states:
301.
National anthem
(a) Designation.—The composition consisting of the words and music known as the Star-Spangled
Banner is the national anthem.
(b) Conduct During Playing.—During a rendition of the national anthem—
(1) when the flag is displayed—
(A) individuals in uniform should give the military salute at the first note of the anthem
and maintain that position until the last note;
(B) members of the Armed Forces and veterans who are present but not in uniform may render
the military salute in the manner provided for individuals in uniform; and
(C) all other persons present should face the flag and stand at attention with their
right hand over the heart, and men not in uniform, if applicable, should remove their
headdress with their right hand and hold it at the left shoulder, the hand being over
the heart; and
2) when the flag is not displayed, all present should face toward the music and act in the
same manner they would if the flag were displayed.
I just posted this.
This is from today's race which is paying tribute to our fallen heroes in the military.
The opening ceremony was as patriotic as it gets.
Absolutely beautiful.
