Hey guys for Complex News, I'm Natasha Martinez.
The past few days have been swarmed with Drake and Pusha-T's latest beef after Pusha took
a dig at Drake by calling out his alleged ghostwriter Quentin Miller on the final track
of DAYTONA.
Since then the two have gone back and forth leading Drake to release a diss track "Duppy
Freestyle," and sending King Push an invoice for one hundred thousand dollars for "promotional
assistance and career reviving."
When the beef ignited, Nicki Minaj was quick to jump on Drake's side via Twitter.
She wrote that referencing Quentin has been run to the ground since it first sparked in
2015 by Meek Mill.
She wrote,
Ya enemies will remix, reinvent & TRY 2make u RELIVE some old shit for YEARS 2 come when
they have NOTHING ON U!
Knock it off.
Challenging the chosen ones only awakens the sleeping giant.
Nice to know that Nicki will always have Drake's back but he definitely defended his own honor
with "Duppy Freestyle" and the release of a new record titled "I'm Upset."
Drizzy announced the release via social media Saturday night sharing the cover art which
was an illustration of a scorpion crawling on the back of skeleton hand, while a blood
moon serves as the backdrop.
He wrote,
"Anyways...back to this album...new single out now."
It's unclear if this is a standalone single or if it'll appear on Drake's upcoming album,
Scorpion, which is expected to drop next month./// That's your news for now, for more on this
