This is the first time that we will cook usinga a Sous Vide Machine.
It is a French term.
Which consists of the meat inside a bath of warm water.
For a long period of time.
And it is cooked in a perfect even temperature.

Here we have New York Steak.
It is different from Ribeyes. It looks like.
Four big pieces of meat and we will beging adding sea salt.
And black pepper.
We have to add salt and pepper on both sides.
These are big pieces of meat and we do no need to cut them or slice them.
But you can grill them if you want. I have some other videos where I have done that.
But today we will make something different.
And I know you will like it a lot.
We will add some garlic powder too.
Here we have the steaks with condiments.
There is no need to add lots of condiments.
Only Salt, black pepper and garlic powder.
These are special plastic bags.
Which we will use.
In order to cook the steak.
These bags are not greased.
We will begin putting the meat inside the plastic bags.
We will set them aside.
Look how big, thick and beautiful these pieces of meat are.
New York Steak meat if kind of tough when you eat it.
You have to do a lot of chewing.
It is not as soft as filet mignon or Ribeye.
We are done putting all the steaks insides the bags and we will only use two steaks for this recipe.
The other two pieces, I will save it in the fridge for another time.
And that way, my two steaks will last a long time.

It is used in a lot of French restaurants.
It is famous here in the United States. A lot of people are using it now.
In a container you add water.
Tap water.
We will set the temperature to 137 F or 58 C
For two hours and half.
This machine is very essential because it begins right away to read the water temperature.
Soon, it will reach the desired temperature.
Two hours and half.
We will put the meat inside the water container.
The water will not get inside the plastic bag.
It is not boiling. it is a bath water.
It is important to place a lid on top.
Otherwise, the temperature on the machine is going up and down all the time.
We will wait two hours and half ok.
Do what you have to do.
And do not worry, the temperature will be set at the one we set up.
The water is cooking the meat slowly at at good even level.
Time is up.
We will take it out. It is hot.
I do not know if you have any idea that a lot of food can be cooked with sous vide.
Like fish, pork and chicken.

We will use a pair of scissors.
