Man Utd defender Joe Riley has left the club to join Bradford City, after nearly 15 years
at the club.
The Under-23s captain has signed a two-year contract at Bradford City, as he looks to
push on with his professional career.
The 21-year-old played a pivotal role for Ricky Sbragia's side last season, and capped
another solid personal campaign, with a memorable goal during the Reserves' 2-1 victory over
Liverpool at Anfield.
Riley made two senior appearances for the club under Louis van Gaal, but saw his progress
stalled when he suffered a serious shoulder injury while out on loan with Sheffield United
in 2017.
The club confirmed the player's departure on Friday afternoon and Riley thanked supporters
in a post on his personal Twitter account, saying: "Manchester United has been my home,
my family for the last 15 years.
It is every boy's dream to play for this club and I can proudly say I have achieved this.
