Iran has lashed out at Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu over his claim Tehran is
pursuing its nuclear program despite a 2015 deal to curb it.

Netanyahu had accused Iran of deceiving the world about its nuclear program when it struck
the 2015 deal.
He said his government obtained half a ton's worth of documents and files proving Tehran
secretly pursued its nuclear ambitions.
He also renewed those claims in a CNN interview on Tuesday.
Iran's foreign ministry called Netanyahu an "infamous liar" describing his accusations
as "worn-out, useless and shameful."
But the U.S. defended Netanyahu's claims that Iran lied about its nuclear program.
"…. Iran lied on the front end.
They were dishonest actors and so the deal that was made was made on things that weren't
accurate.
And we have a big problem with that, particularly the fact that Iran's nuclear capability were
far more advanced and far further along than they ever indicated, which if this nuclear
deal maintains as it is right now when the sunset provision hits in seven years they
will be much further along in the process and much and able to make a nuclear weapon
much quicker than they've ever indicated before.
And that's a big problem."
But, key players in the Iran nuclear deal, such as Britain and France, are showing a
cooler response to the Israeli Prime Minister's presentation.
British Foreign Secretary Boris Johnson said it "underlines the importance" of keeping
the deal, with its tough constraints on Iran, in place.
The UN nuclear watchdog also said the evidence shown by Netanyahu was nothing new and maintained
Iran was being compliant with the 2015 deal.
President Trump has until May 12th to decide if he will pull out of Iran nuclear pact,
which he has warned he will do unless a deal can be reached with his European partners.
