Today we are gonna do something very special!

I recieved a phone call from a woman who sad:

"There is a pike in my pont that eats the ducklings. Can you come over and catch it for me?"

I liked this idea very much so that 's what we're gonna do today!

I hope we can catch it for her.

I can take the pike in this big bucket to another water.

I prepare everything now, so i can put the pike right away in here when i catch it.

Better fill it with water now, instead of filling it when the pike is in the net.

The pond is really shallow so that's why I fish with a streamer.

He is chasing it!

I can see him now. It is realy realy small.

It doesn't dare yet...

It looks like he is scared for the lure...

I expected a way larger pike than this one, so I brought only big lures.

Let's go home to get smaller lures. For this lures he just swims away.

These lures are nice to take.

This is a small popper we purchased in Spain.

This lure is also nice.

I think the story of this pike eating ducklings is not quite correct, I think that was another pike.

I pull the lure in front of his head, he looks at it but does not take it.

I take a small spinner blade.

He doesn't want it.

Attempt number two.

It is gonna be a hell of a job to catch this little pike.

He swims away all the times and just looks at it.

It makes no sense at all to try anymore longer.

Maybe it is more a 'morning-pike' instead of an 'evening-pike'.

So let's try it again tomorrow morning.

Attempt number three.

I changed my rig.

Instead of a thick titanium wire have knotted fluor carbon on the main line.

This pike is to small to bite trough it.

So let's hope it will work. Maybe he saw the wire of the other rig.

At least I can try it!

Let's see if i can spot him there…

He should take it…

...but no.. he just swims away scared!

The lure literally touches his mouth!

I think in this case we are dealing with a vegetarian pike.

He really does not want it.

Lazy creature.

I will try again tomorrow, with even smaller lures.

Oh, it is a rough pike this dude!

Well this is the very last time I am gonna try it.

If I don't succeed, then the pike has won the battle.

Now I took the smallest lures I could find.

Let's give it a try.

The clip is as big as the lure itself.

Yo, I see him.

…and he just swims away again….

I pulled the lure around 15 times in front of his nose...

...and again he does't do anything about it.

I doubt this pike even eats fish.

Well, we got it guys!!

The camera was already packed in the car, because I just gave up.

But then I saw him and I thought just one more cast…

...and then BAM! He took his chance!

Nice little fish.

In this pont he has a much better life, then is that very small one.
