Waching daily Aug 2 2018

Milinkovic-Savic is one of the world's most in-demand midfielders with a handful of top clubs interested in securing his services

Manchester United, Manchester City, Juventus, Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain have all been linked with summer moves for the 23-year-old

While Chelsea has emerged as a potential destination for him too with reports in Italy suggesting a "monster offer" is in the pipeline

Maurizio Sarri knows all about Milinkovic-Savic having led Lazio's Serie A rivals Napoli prior to taking the reins at Stamford Bridge

And it seems as though the Serbia international could still call time on his Stadio Olimpico career if an opportunity comes up

Transfer Market Web claim Milinkovic-Savic has agreed a long-term deal with Lazio worth £2

7m (€3m) a year. But he is said to be holding off on putting pen to paper to see which offers come in before the transfer window shuts

It seems Milinkovic-Savic will only sign on the dotted line once it is impossible to leave Lazio

Even then Transfer Market Web suggest the highly-rated ace will only stay at Lazio for one more season

Chelsea are running out of time to secure Milinkovic-Savic's services with deadline day fast approaching

They may be fighting a losing battle if Juventus decide to firm up their interest and rival them for his signature

Milinkovic-Savic's father revealed earlier this summer that he has advised his son to head to Turin if he leaves Lazio

"I've told him many times that Juventus would be perfect for him, the ideal club," said Nikola Milinkovic

"In Turin there is a prestigious club with multiple trophies that has been dominating the scene for years

He'd have the opportunity to grow and improve until reaching full maturity. "After three seasons in Rome, Sergej knows the Italian championship perfectly, he has settled and integrated in a big way, he has learned the language well

"With top quality teammates like Paulo Dybala, Douglas Costa and so forth, he could win the Scudetto, Coppa Italia and why not give an important contribution to triumph in the Champions League? "Juve always go far in that competition and if they were to win the most prestigious trophy, Sergej could even dream of the Ballon d'Or

"It's true, but he could go to Spain after he turns 25, when he has completed his football maturity in Italy

That's what Zinedine Zidane did."

I'm Lt(N) Jamie Bresolin.

And I'm Nicole Power. Here are the headlines at Defence.

Last month, Defence Research and Development Canada

hosted Exercise PRECISE RESPONSE.

This chemical, biological, radiological,

and law enforcement agencies

in support of Canada's national security.

Two Royal Canadian Navy ships are currently visiting

communities along the St. Lawrence Seaway

and the Great Lakes this summer,

as part of the annual Great Lakes Deployment.

Her Majesty's Canadian Ships Moncton and Oriole

conducting activities such as guided ship tours

and demonstrations.

The Great Lakes deployment aims to inform Canadians

about their Navy and its various roles.

These include protecting Canada

by exercising sovereignty in our nation's waters,

preventing conflict by deploying around the world

to strengthen partnerships,

and safeguarding international maritime peace and security.
